Annabeth's POV:

In the bustling corridors of New Rome College, Percy Jackson was as much a fixture as the ancient statues that adorned the campus grounds. His presence was undeniable, his charm infectious, and his sarcasm legendary. I'd known him for as long as I could remember, our paths intertwined in ways that seemed almost fated.

Percy's laughter echoed through the halls as I approached him, my textbooks clutched tightly against my chest. "Hey, Wise Girl," he greeted me with a grin, his sea-green eyes twinkling mischievously.

I rolled my eyes at the familiar nickname, though I couldn't suppress the smile that tugged at my lips. "What trouble have you gotten yourself into now, Seaweed Brain?" I teased, falling into step beside him.

Our banter was second nature, a dance we'd perfected over years of friendship. Percy's sarcasm was like a shield, deflecting the seriousness of the world around us, and I found solace in his quick wit and easy laughter.

As we settled into our usual spot on the steps of the library, I couldn't help but steal glances at Percy when he wasn't looking. His tousled hair caught the sunlight in a way that made my heart flutter, and his easy smile sent warmth spreading through my chest.

It wasn't until a quiet moment between classes that I allowed myself to entertain the thought that had been lingering at the edges of my mind for far too long. Percy's laughter faded into the background as I found myself lost in the depths of his gaze, a warmth spreading through my veins unlike anything I'd ever felt before.

"Percy," I began, my voice barely above a whisper, "there's something I need to tell you."

He turned to face me, his expression a curious mix of concern and anticipation. "What is it, Annabeth?"

"I... I think I'm falling for you," I confessed, my heart pounding in my chest.

For a moment, the world seemed to hold its breath as Percy processed my words. Then, a smile spread across his face, lighting up his features in a way that stole my breath away.

"You think?" he teased, his voice soft yet filled with a warmth that melted my defenses. "Well, I think I might be falling for you too, Wise Girl."

And in that moment, as the world faded away and all that mattered was the connection between us, I knew that my life would never be the same. With Percy by my side, I felt invincible, ready to face whatever the future held with courage and determination.

For Percy and me, love was not just a feeling but a journey—a journey we were finally ready to embark on together, hand in hand, as we faced the challenges of college life and beyond. And as we walked into the unknown, I knew that with Percy's laughter to guide me, I would never have to face it alone.

Again, please comment if you have any suggestions, corrections, or requests. Hope you enjoyed!
