Hey, it's Sophia! This story takes place when Percy and Annabeth are married and have their own apartment in New York. I am leaving for a ten day trip in a few days and I won't have access to good service/wifi, so I will not be able to write, but I will schedule some stories to upload while I'm gone. Please comment if you have any questions, corrections, or suggestions, and I am currently taking story requests, so comment those as well. Hope you enjoy!

Sally, my mom, adored Annabeth. I mean, who wouldn't? She's got this aura of intelligence and grace that just lights up a room. Me? Well, I'm Percy. Sarcasm's my middle name, and my idea of sophistication is wearing socks that match (sometimes).
So there we were, Annabeth and I, on our way to my mom's house for dinner. The walk was filled with Annabeth talking about her latest architecture project while I teased her about spending all her time at home with me (not that I minded). She'd roll her eyes, but that smirk on her face told me she loved it.
As we walked through the door, Sally enveloped Annabeth in a hug that could rival a bear's. "Annabeth, darling, it's so good to see you!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with genuine warmth. "And Percy, you finally decided to grace us with your presence."
I shot my mom a mock offended look while Annabeth chuckled beside me. "Hey, I'm a busy man, you know," I retorted, earning a playful swat on the arm from Annabeth.
Dinner was a feast, courtesy of my mom's culinary skills. As we sat around the table, conversation flowed effortlessly. Annabeth and my mom discussed everything from politics to literature, while I chimed in with my trademark sarcasm whenever I could.
At one point, my mom turned to Annabeth and said, "You know, Annabeth, I've always thought you and Percy make such a wonderful couple. You complement each other perfectly."
Annabeth smiled, her eyes softening as she looked at me. "Thank you, Sally. Percy may be a handful, but I wouldn't have it any other way."
I grinned back at her, feeling a warmth spread through my chest. Yeah, maybe dinner at my mom's wasn't so bad after all. Especially when I had Annabeth by my side, making every moment a little brighter with her smart remarks and practical wisdom.
The evening air was warm and tinged with the scent of blooming flowers as Annabeth and I strolled back to our apartment after dinner at my mom's place. The stars twinkled overhead, casting a soft glow on the quiet streets.
"Your mom really likes me, huh?" Annabeth remarked, breaking the comfortable silence between us.
I chuckled, slipping my hand into hers. "She adores you, Annabeth. I think she's convinced you're the best thing that ever happened to me."
Annabeth grinned, squeezing my hand. "Well, she's not wrong."
I rolled my eyes, but couldn't help the goofy grin that spread across my face. Annabeth always had a way of making me feel like the luckiest guy in the world.
As we reached our apartment building, Annabeth turned to me with a mischievous glint in her eye. "You know, Percy, your mom mentioned something about us being a great couple. I think we should celebrate."
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? And how do you propose we do that?"
Annabeth leaned in closer, her lips hovering just inches from mine. "How about we have our own little celebration right here?" she whispered, her breath warm against my skin.
And just like that, any thoughts of sleep or mundane tasks flew out of my mind. With a grin, I unlocked the door to our apartment, pulling Annabeth inside with me.
The rest of the night was a blur of laughter, whispered words, and stolen kisses. And as we curled up together in bed, wrapped in each other's arms, I couldn't help but think that maybe, just maybe, dinner at my mom's place was the best thing that ever happened to us.
