As Percy trudged through the front door, the weight of a long day at work still heavy on his shoulders, he was greeted by the comforting sight of Annabeth in the living room. She sat on the couch, a book in hand, her expression softening into a smile as she looked up and saw him.

"Percy, you're home," Annabeth said, setting her book aside and rising from the couch to meet him. She could see the exhaustion etched in his features, the lines of tension around his eyes, and she reached out to gently squeeze his hand in silent support.

"Yeah, finally," Percy replied with a weary sigh, returning her smile with a grateful one of his own. The sight of Annabeth, with her warm smile and open arms, was like a balm to his tired soul.

Annabeth could tell that Percy had had a rough day, and she wasted no time in ushering him towards the couch, where she had already prepared a cozy nest of blankets and pillows. "Sit down, Percy," she urged gently. "I'll make you a cup of tea."

Percy sank gratefully onto the couch, sinking into the soft cushions as he watched Annabeth disappear into the kitchen. The sound of the kettle boiling and the clink of mugs being prepared filled the air, and Percy couldn't help but feel a sense of peace settle over him in Annabeth's presence.

Moments later, Annabeth returned with two steaming mugs of tea, placing one in Percy's hands before settling down beside him on the couch. They sat in comfortable silence, sipping their tea and simply enjoying each other's company, the stress of the day melting away in the warmth of their shared love.

As Percy leaned into Annabeth's side, feeling the tension leaving his body with each passing moment, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the sanctuary of home and the unwavering support of the woman beside him. And as they sat there together, enveloped in the quiet comfort of their shared space, Percy knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, as long as he had Annabeth by his side, everything would be okay.
