On a clear morning, Beomgyu got on his bike and let the fresh breeze swirl through his hair. The city was just coming to life and the streets were not yet flooded with the hustle and bustle of the day. The sun's rays cast a warm light on the busy streets as Beomgyu rode through picturesque alleyways. The scent of fresh coffee and flowers accompanied him on his journey. The rows of houses along the roadside were evidence of a cozy neighborhood where urban life was combined with a touch of nostalgia.
With his headphones firmly in his ears, Beomgyu switched on his favorite podcast. The clear voice of the presenter accompanied him as he cycled through the rolling hills of the city. This particular podcast actually featured Yeonjun's new album: Reflections.
As Yeonjun's voice reached his ears, accompanying one of the songs on the podcast, Beomgyu couldn't help but remember the morning when they woke up next to each other. It had been so strange that Beomgyu hadn't dared to say anything. Yeonjun hadn't regretted their night together and that made him think.
Uncertainty gnawed at him.
Had they really enjoyed their night together, or would this come between them?
Should he speak to him?
Beomgyu shook his head as he pressed his hands firmly against the handlebars. He pedaled so fast that he arrived at his destination within minutes. With his thoughts still on Yeonjun, his voice in his head and the questions about these soulful songs, he entered the agency.
His gaze first fell on his work colleague and friend Park Jisung, who came up to him and said something, but as Beomgyu still had his headphones in, he couldn't hear him.
Jisung achieved fame as an actor through his impressive performance in 'Melody of Destiny'. He played the role of Kang Minwoo, a talented, vulnerable musician whose life was marked by tragic circumstances. His character, a talented pianist, suffered a serious accident that shattered his career and his faith in the world. And Jisung gave this character an impressive depth, clearly showing the inner struggles and the path to acceptance after losing his hearing. Jisung's portrayal went beyond hearing loss to reveal emotional depths and heights. Audiences were so swept away by his performance that the drama was hailed as a masterpiece, not only because of the plot, but also because of Jisung's exceptional interpretation of the lead role.
At the young age of 21, he had managed to touch people in a different way and he was very much credited for this today.
"Oh, sorry," mumbled Beomgyu, fishing the headphones out of his ears and stowing them in his trouser pocket. "I'm a bit freaked out today. What did you say?"
Jisung smiled slightly and shook his head. "No problem, Beomgyu. I just said hello and asked how you were. You look a bit thoughtful." His youthful face with plump lips brightened as he continued, "And I wanted to congratulate you on your role, the drama looks very promising."
