Beomgyu let his gaze wander through Yeonjun's apartment, this time illuminated by the warm light of the ceiling lamps and the sunlight shining through the windows.
The furnishings were simple and elegant, in various shades of white and gray. From the cozy living room, he had a view of the open kitchen, where a spacious kitchen island with stools invited him to linger. Along the wall, Beomgyu noticed a framed photo of Yeonjun with a tattooed boy, presumably a close friend. The scene looked familiar and warm, and Beomgyu could imagine that they shared many memories together.
While Beomgyu explored the apartment with his eyes, Yeonjun was busy disinfecting Beomgyu's palm to treat the abrasions from hitting the sidewalk. Despite the bruised palms, Beomgyu exuded a calm determination. He felt the sensation of Yeonjun's lips on his, which had awakened a slight tingling sensation in him.
As if at least the feeling he had felt that night was returning. He gave Yeonjun a look that seemed very focused.
"I'm sorry I bumped into you," the musician growled with a hint of a mumble, revealing his still inebriated state. He had taken off his black hoodie and was only wearing a muscle shirt of the same color underneath. And although the kiss was present and new, other feelings mingled in Beomgyu's chest. Because now he could see the faint bruises on his upper arms better, the ones he had noticed at the last meeting, even if they were slowly disappearing. However, this did not change the new bruises on the back of his neck, where one could almost get the impression that someone had pushed Yeonjun down by the neck.
Beomgyu swallowed hard and the discoloration simply left him no peace. "Did you - ... you," he thought about how he should ask this question, because he had no intention of offending him.
Was it also the wrong time to ask him about it when they had argued before?
But how was the actor supposed to let go of this thought when it was constantly buzzing in his head?
"Did you hurt yourself?" he finally asked, then lowered his gaze to Yeonjun's hands.
But the man just shook his head as he tended to the last scratches and then raised his eyes. "No, I'm fine. Your shoulder isn't as sharp as it looks," Yeonjun assured him and it was obvious that he hadn't quite understood the question.
"No, I mean," Beomgyu carefully lifted his finger, moved it to a dark spot on Yeonjun's arm and gently stroked it with his fingertip.
He immediately followed the other's movement and felt goose bumps. Partly because of Beomgyu's touch, but also because it brought back other memories that he had wanted to forget. Slowly, Yeonjun's eyes returned to the actor's handsome face and he asked a question that no one would have expected: "Would you sleep with me again?"
Beomgyu was surprised by the sudden turn in the conversation and felt his heart beat faster as he searched for the right words to answer. Beomgyu felt the weight of the question in the air, accompanied by the tension between them. The intimacy of the moment made it difficult to think clearly. He looked deep into Yeonjun's eyes, searching for signs that might give him clues about the young musician's emotions. "I - ...," Beomgyu began, not necessarily hesitating because he wasn't sure of his answer, but because the sudden shyness had returned. "I said that I regret not remembering and I wish I had gotten to know you better under different circumstances."
