The sun's rays gently tickled the curtains and painted a warm pattern on the living room floor. Yeonjun woke up on the couch, surrounded by a pleasant feeling of security. As he carefully sat up, he felt Beomgyu, who was lying partly next to him and partly on top of him, move gently. An air of contentment enveloped Yeonjun as he opened his eyes. The room was filled with a calm atmosphere and the stillness of the morning had a soothing effect. A small smile crept onto his face, something he hadn't felt in days.
Yeonjun lifted his left hand and gently stroked Beomgyu's silky hair.
He couldn't remember the last time he had felt so safe. The worries and fears of the past few days seemed to fade into the background for a moment as he simply lay there and enjoyed the moment. Slowly, Beomgyu also opened his eyes, awakened by a pleasant tingling sensation on the back of his neck. When his gaze fell on Yeonjun's gentle smile, he felt strangely fulfilled and calm. It was as if the morning had a special magic that brought their minds into a harmonious balance.
A soft sigh escaped Beomgyu's lips as he slowly stretched. The warmth of the sun streaming through the windows enveloped them like a gentle embrace. Despite the restlessness in their minds, they felt peaceful and at one with the moment. "Good morning," he mumbled sleepily and was glad to be able to remember last night.
They had talked for a long time again, well into the night, and had then fallen asleep in each other's arms.
"Good morning," Yeonjun greeted with a smile on her lips. "I'm starting to feel like I should become an alcoholic so I can wake up next to you."
Beomgyu shook his head with a laugh.
"I hope not, I suppose. But we really should have a sober evening," he suggested with a grin, looking into the musician's tired eyes. They had only covered themselves with a thin blanket, which is why they were lying closely together on the couch.
It felt good, familiar.
"We're welcome to do that. Maybe we should, if we want to find out about Soyeon's disappearance," Yeonjun agreed and slid his feet off the couch so that he could sit up together with Beomgyu. He was still holding him in his arms. "When do you have to leave?"
A glance at the clock on the wall told Beomgyu that he still had some time before he had to go to the set. "Not for a few hours," he replied, tilting his head thoughtfully. "I don't even know where to start. There's so much to do." After all, he wasn't just thinking about the matter with Soyeon, but about what Park Joonwoo was doing to Yeonjun.
Yeonjun nodded in agreement and carefully released herself from the embrace. The closeness between them was comforting, but reality forced its way back into the room. "We have to be smart, gather information without putting ourselves in unnecessary danger. Maybe there are people who know more, but we need to find out who is trustworthy." He thought for a moment and then suggested: "Maybe we should talk to those who were close to Soyeon back then. Your friends, her colleagues, like Minho for example, one of our producers - they could give us clues."
