Beomgyu's heart pounded wildly with excitement as he looked around the living room, searching for clues about Soyeon. He searched every area thoroughly, carefully feeling through drawers and cupboards, hoping to find anything that might give him clues. His hands were still shaking with nervousness, but he forced himself to stay calm and focused.

Yeonjun's distraction had worked, even if it left an uneasy feeling in Beomgyu's stomach, and he hoped that Yeonjun could somehow escape the situation without having to satisfy his boss.

Beomgyu carefully opened one of the drawers of the cupboard in the living room and found various utensils there. Among the old remote controls, there were actually handcuffs, which he was sure to use for his games. With a disgusted look, Beomgyu rummaged through the drawer, but he couldn't find any real clues about Soyeon. He continued to search for anything he could use to help Yeonjun, a noise that might lure Joonwoo away.

Suddenly, Beomgyu heard soft footsteps behind him, a sound that echoed in his head. His heart seemed to stop for a moment as he turned around with a jerky movement, the tension in his body palpable. His senses were heightened and his muscles were tense, ready for a possible confrontation with Joonwoo. However, when he saw who had actually sneaked out of the room, a wave of relief ran through him. It was Yeonjun, who had hurriedly put on his underwear and jeans, holding the shirt in front of his torso. Beomgyu's breath caught and he paused, his body frozen in shock as he stared wide-eyed at Yeonjun.

In that moment, time seemed to stand still as the two faced each other in the darkness of the room.

Beomgyu could hear Yeonjun's soft breathing, which sounded almost like a whisper, and the rustling of his clothes as he moved carefully.

"What are you doing here?" Yeonjun finally whispered, his voice barely audible in the silence of the room, but still clear enough to drown out Beomgyu's heartbeat. He had furrowed his brow and seemed a little angry at the fact that the actor hadn't listened to his request.

"I had to make sure that... everything went well," Beomgyu mumbled, wishing he could have rushed up to the musician and hugged him. "That he doesn't hurt you," he added and swallowed, "I couldn't leave you here alone."

Without knowing what was happening.

Whether Joonwoo would inflict pain on Yeonjun or even hold him captive.

But when Beomgyu looked at the door, the CEO didn't follow. And not a sound was heard anywhere in the house.

"He's sleeping," Yeonjun assured him sulkily, even though he could understand why Beomgyu had acted the way he did, he was still uncomfortable that he was here. With his lips pressed together, he turned his back on Beomgyu, pulled his shirt over his head and tried to swallow the lump in his throat.

But it was burning.

His throat, his eyes. His whole body felt numb and at the same time it was the pain of humiliation.
