→ TWO DAYS LATER
"Cheers to you finally, leaving that lame ass fucker." Eunbyeol clinked her glass with mine as I just gave a sigh, staring out into the view of the cityscape from my place.
"I can't help but feel bad, you know?" I took a sip of my drink, obviously dissociating into my own thoughts as Eunbyeol just let out a groan.
"You feel bad? Please, let me show you something that'll change your mind." Eunbyeol grabbed her phone, hiding the screen away from me, but she was giggling, scrolling and her eyes lit up at the sight on her phone.
Honestly, that girl could pull out anything from her phone, so I wasn't so suspicious by her giggling.
She turned her phone screen so that I could see, and on the screen, a replay video by a fan, of Sunghoon on the big screen at one of his concerts.
My lips parted slightly in awe, just staring at how the stars constellations dazzled in his eyes, the sweat upon his forehead, his breathlessness.
"How's that for feeling bad? Do you feel bad now?" She continued scrolling on her phone, as I just looked away, pressing my lips with the largest smile on earth.
"Alright alright, well, whatever." I rolled my eyes, turning back to face Eunbyeol with a light smile.
"Oh, look at this, you remember Sunghoon's jacket that you told Jungwoo was mine?" Eunbyeol showed me her phone again, "Look, he's wearing it there."
She pointed to a video of Sunghoon and that leather jacket of his, his jacket alone seemed to go viral - with people trying to figure out the brand, where he got it from, and so on.
"Damn, I could've sold that shit for millions." I scoffed jokingly, Eunbyeol nodded her head, but with an abrupt knock at my door, our conversation was briefly paused.
I expected the worst, maybe it was Jungwoo clawing at my door for me to take him back, or maybe he was here to get his revenge of some sort, but as Eunbyeol and I reached the door, the two of us were taken aback equally at the sight of Jungwoo's sister herself, Aera.
She gave a faint smile as we both looked at her, confused as fuck.
First of all, I haven't seen this girl in, possibly years? I only recall going over to Jungwoo's some time ago and meeting her there.
Second of all, how the hell did she know where I lived, and what the hell was she here for.
"Oh, Aera.. hey, what.. brings you here?" I spoke with an uncertainty in my tone, from the look on her face, she seemed as if she was going to ask me for a favour.
"Hey, yeah, I know - long time no see. Could I come in?" She meekly inquired, and I glanced at Eunbyeol, who exchanged the same glance as I did.
Neither of wanted her here, especially knowing from her face, she was going to ask me for something.
But out of kindness, I let her in, guiding her to the room me and Eunbyeol were sat in, drinking and talking about the wonders of the world.
The three of us sat down, and briefly, an awkward silence encased the room. The clinking of the glasses against the coffee table, the rustle of our clothes against the sofa and chairs - it was a very uncomfortable ambiance.
"So, what brings you here, so.. spontaneously?" I started the conversation, wishing that she'd just get her point across and leave.
"Yes, spontaneous, hah.. Well.." Aera cleared her throat, looking down and back up to me, "I heard that you and Jungwoo broke up."
I wish I could've groaned the way I wanted to, I noticed Eunbyeol roll her eyes, folding her arms and taking petty little sips of her drink as she stared Aera down.
"Yes?" I was not in the mood for this Jungwoo talk, "Is there an issue?"
"Well, sort of.." Aera was really beating around this bush with this, and by both mine, and Eunbyeol's facial expressions - we were not enjoying this at all.
"Respectfully, could you get to the point?" I assertively told her, and she cleared her throat, looking at me in the eyes.
"Sorry, yeah, well. Our parents don't know, they still think that you're his girlfriend, and they want to see you. I know it's unreasonable, but I was wondering if you could pretend to be his girlfriend for this meal only." Aera posed the question that she was probably figuring out how to ask me this whole conversation.
My lip slightly curled upwards, as I just stared at her in disgust and confusion.
So the best idea is to pretend that I'm still dating this fucker instead of telling his parents that he's no longer with me.
Just how old is this man?
"You have to be joking right?" Eunbyeol added her input, her brows furrowed at Aera's bravery.
"Listen, I know it's not ideal, but it's just a single meal. Nari, please. At least consider it." Aera pleaded, the look in her eyes was almost convincing.
Eunbyeol was about to decide for me, but before she could cuss Aera out of the house in several languages - sign language included - I spoke.
"When is the meal?" I wasn't exactly the happiest of people on Earth right now, but it was the least I could do.
"In two weeks time." Aera gave a small sigh of relief, over hearing that I wasn't detesting so much anymore.
Eunbyeol shot me a glare, in pure disbelief, but then continued to scroll on her phone.
