Jungwoo reached for my wrist, with force, dragged me back. His grip was tighter than usual, and face darkened the most I had ever seen it.
"You better go inside, and tell them, that you were lying." He had this, unusually scary tone to his voice.
"Get the hell off me." I tried releasing my wrist from his grip, but unfortunately no could do.
His grip only tightened as I resisted against his wishes, his eyes probably were about to turn a shade of crimson from the amount of anger in his veins.
"Nari. I'll warn you now." Jungwoo's voice was low but frustrated, "If you don't, then you will, regret it."
I just scoffed in his face, not this fucker trying to be all intimidating.
"Jungwoo, and I'll warn you now, if you don't get off me, you will be spending the rest of your life sharing a cell with someone else." I responded, my heart was beating unusually fast though, purely, out of fear.
He closed his eyes for a second, trying to recollect his thoughts, and as he opened them, I was convinced I almost saw the devil's reincarnate through his pupils.
"For fuck's sake!" He raised his arm, and I flinched, but he didn't hit me, nor touch me, he was just about to hit me - but stopped.
My heart pounded against my chest like none before, I have never seen a side to Jungwoo, so aggressive like this - within my whole life with him.
In the exact moment, a car pulled up beside, and I freed my grasp from him. I spun around, my heart dropping, only to see Eunbyeol hurrying out of the passenger's seat, and none other than Sunghoon, storming up towards Jungwoo from the drivers.
"Nari!! I thought something bad had happened, it'd been so long, oh my god, are you okay?" She encased me in a hug as I nodded.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Sunghoon stared knives into Jungwoo's eyes. The look on Sunghoon's face was the physical form of anger.
"What do I think I'm doing? What the hell do you think you're doing Sunghoon? You don't even know her, why the fuck are you defending her?!" Jungwoo thought that Sunghoon defending me was unreasonable, however, they would've seen him almost raise his hand on me.
So how exactly was that unreasonable?
"I don't know her? I've known her my whole fucking life, and I'll tell you one thing, you better never come close to her again, because trust me, you won't like the outcome." Sunghoon had gripped Jungwoo's collar, slightly pushing him aback as Sunghoon lightly grabbed my hand towards his car.
Well, one thing was that Sunghoon will most definitely give me hell too.
I sat in the passenger's seat, Eunbyeol in the back, and of course, Sunghoon driving. I'm sure this is not what he wanted the first day back in Korea after his tour.
My bad though.
"What an asshole, I can't believe he tried to hit you even though you were helping him." Eunbyeol scoffed, shaking her head in disbelief.
As Eunbyeol spoke, Sunghoon's grip on the wheel tightened slightly, his jaw clenched and his eyes fixed on the road without looking elsewhere.
"How'd you even know to come get me?" I inquired, wondering at the convenient timing they came.
"Girl, it was taking too long, and I didn't know what he could get up to, so I had no other choice but to tell Sunghoon and he insisted we went to his house first because you weren't picking up calls or messages." Eunbyeol explained, and I grimaced, placing my fingers between the bridge of my nose.
Well, second argument of the day will be with Sunghoon.
Sunghoon didn't say a word for the whole ride, he dropped Eunbyeol off back home, and began the drive to his own house for a change.
"Why didn't you tell me." Sunghoon opened his mouth, and I'm kind of glad it wasn't like, something much worse than this.
"I was supposed to tell you I'm going to Jungwoo's house for a meal? You'd kill me." I tried to justify myself, but it sounded much worse as it came out of my mouth.
Sunghoon gave a low, inaudible chuckle to himself.
"I'm mad at you, for a change." Sunghoon openly just said, okay, love a man who can communicate his feelings.
"I get that, I was doing his sister a favour, I didn't know it'd end up like that." I leant my head back, then , I pulled the sun visor from his car down, and checked my makeup in the mirror.
"You're frustrating me on how careless you seem over this." Sunghoon's tone of voice was sharp and abrupt, there was no denial he was mad, but there was nothing I could do about this - it had already happened, and I can't turn back time.
