Author pov:

I woke up feeling drained, the weight of yesterday's news still heavy on my shoulders. Despite the exhaustion, I forced myself to freshen up, hoping the water would wash away some of the worries plaguing my mind. As I stood under the shower, thoughts raced through my head, trying to figure out how to arrange the money we desperately needed.

After reluctantly dragging myself out of the bathroom, I joined my family at the dining table. The somber atmosphere was palpable, each of us lost in our own thoughts. But I couldn't bear to see them so downcast. With a determined smile, I tried to lighten the mood, cracking jokes and sharing silly stories. It worked, albeit briefly, as I managed to elicit weak smiles from my loved ones.

As we finished breakfast, I made an impromptu announcement. "Get ready, everyone," I said, mustering as much enthusiasm as I could. "We're going to the amusement park on Saturday!"

It was a small gesture, but I hoped it would give us all something to look forward to amidst the darkness.

Stepping out of the confines of my home, I found myself on the bustling street, the cacophony of city life a stark contrast to the turmoil within. And there, amidst the chaos, stood Taehyung, leaning casually against his ostentatious car, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips.

Despite my best efforts to avoid him, there he was, an imposing figure that seemed to fill the entire street with his presence. His eyes, dark and intense, met mine with a knowing gaze, as if he could see right through the facade I so desperately clung to.

"Come inside," Taehyung's voice cut through the din of the street, his tone betraying none of the tension that crackled between us. "I'll drop you at the office. I happen to be heading there myself."

His words hung in the air, laden with unspoken implications and hidden agendas. I hesitated for a moment, unsure of whether to accept his offer or forge my own path. But in the end, practicality won out over pride, and I found myself nodding in reluctant agreement.

"Fine," I replied tersely, my voice betraying none of the turmoil that churned within. "But I don't think this changes anything between us."

With a fleeting glance, I slid into the passenger seat of his car, bracing myself for the journey ahead. As the engine roared to life and the familiar hum of the city enveloped us, I couldn't help but wonder what twists and turns lay in store on this unexpected ride with Taehyung at the wheel.

As Taehyung's car navigated through the bustling streets, his attempts at teasing fell flat against my heavy heart. His hand on my thigh felt like an unwelcome intrusion, his playful pinches sending a jolt of shock through my weary body.

"What's the matter?" he prodded, his voice laced with a hint of amusement.

With a heavy sigh, I finally mustered the strength to respond. "Please, just leave me alone," I pleaded, my voice barely above a whisper. "I don't have the energy to fight you anymore."

Taehyung's voice was low and possessive as he leaned closer, his breath warm against my ear. "You're mine, Jin ah," he whispered, his words sending a shiver down my spine. "No matter how hard you try to push me away, you'll always belong to me."

I shifted uncomfortably in my seat, trying to ignore his words. "Stop it, Taehyung," I muttered, my voice barely above a whisper. "I'm not yours, and I never will be."

As the car came to a halt in front of the office building, I quickly gathered my things, eager to put some distance between us. Without a word, I stepped out of the car, feeling relieved to be away from Taehyung's suffocating presence.

As I entered the office, I tried to shake off the unsettling encounter with Taehyung. Jimin, noticing my demeanor, approached me and asked if everything was okay. I mustered a weak smile and assured him that I was fine, although my eyes betrayed the turmoil within.
