CHAPTER 18-NATALIE

"This is a rescue and save ... .organizations for childrens....in the human trafficking and in all those types of horrible underground systems. We get any information on any kid we search for, keep an eye on them, and when we find an opening, we rescue them and save them. If they have family.. that still wants them back , which in most cases is not, we give the family their kids. For the majority of children who have no one, we place them into our system. Foster care and orphanage. We personally search and keep an eye on the foster parent and the kids' environment. Make sure they are given a chance in life. It's just a matter of seconds when they're put in the trafficking and targeted. Their life is basically over the moment any monster gets their eyes on them and they become a target. Just a second. Most of them already belong to a low life style with abandoned absent parents who don't care about these kids. Such kids make excellent targets. But it's really hard to get them out. You need to know first where they are kept, and if they are being moved or staying ...alive or dead. How can we make an opening and rescue them without anyone falling out? It's terrible Natalie. Sometimes it's too late when we finally rescue the kids and when we do, some of them don't even wish to live anymore. Mere children and they don't wanna live" He says with so much regret and resentment, I can understand what those children might be feeling and maybe I understood why Luke chose to bring me in rather than just quit like he did to Mr. Wild.

"Why are you telling me this all Luke? I ..know how such organizations work and you are working for it, good work...what more" I asked him to which he simply nodded and came to the computer system and motioned me to bring the chair closer to the screen and he opened a file. A voice recording I guess.

The recording started with a woman laughing and taunting someone with evil words. Initially I was confused but the women said the names Tommy and Bella and I immediately knew what this recording was about. I snapped my head at Luke who was already looking at me, analyzing me. " Just listen" he said and I did. She was taunting them on how they couldn't save anyone and no one's gonna come to save them and soon Thomas Sanchez's screams took over the audio. Shrieking screams of pain, soon followed by Isabella's screams, half in pain and half in desperation to let her brother go. Their screams filled the room. I couldn't bear to hear them anymore. They were just 8 and getting tortured.

I took the mouse and stopped the audio, breathing heavily. Not having any courage to ask him where he got the audios from.

"I don't know how long you have known Nathan, but tell me, would he have handled this? Their screams because let me be clear, I don't want to traumatize you but this isn't even 1% of the torture they went through. They went through a fate worse than terrible and cruel. My poor little twins. They were not targeted by any killer or psycho. Someone paid to have them tortured and killed." He said and my eyes widened. It was one of my theories.

"Because they were Violet's children" I said and Luke's posture stiffen, so they were killed because of their mother!

" Because Violet didn't belong to high class society her children were killed! They were supposed to die with her during her labor but there was a mix up in the blood mix up ! Both mother and children were killed! Just like Aurora and Mary and her son ... .that would mean Mary's son won't have much time......the twins were killed after 8 years...why wait so many years?" I asked him, my mind running to which Luke chuckled.

" You remind me of that particular math problem where you get every single thing from numerical to formula wrong but just the final answer right, god knows from where. No, they are merely coincidences to that. If someone wanted an elite group only then no one would have been married, certainly not Mason for more than a decade where you know children come from marriage. In Aurora's case no one except her roommate knew about her pregnancy. They both accidentally came across something they were not supposed to know about" he said leaving the rest for me to guess.
