CHAPTER 30- NATHAN

I lost contact with Natalie 5 hours ago! 5 hours! Her phone is switched off and Luke has no idea. I don't believe that asshole for a second. He must have gotten rid of her but Mason says he wouldn't stoop so low but he also sounded equally confused. He said his sister Allison took Natalie but I don't believe it for a second. A fragile high school girl isn't strong enough to take Natalie away. I am sweating on my way to the airport and the traffic isn't doing me any good.

"Nathan, just try to calm down, That girl wouldn't do anything to Nat-" Mason says from the other end of the line, he stayed on line afraid I'd let my anger take better control over me.

"My wife is missing for God's sake Mason, don't ask me to be calm!" I snapped at him but at the same time I got Natalie's call. Thank fucking God!

"Wait a minute, Nat's calling!" I say as I am about to end the call but Mason says to put it on at the conference.

" Natalie! Are you okay??? Where the hell are you? what happened?" I say nonstop questions in one beat.

"I am perfectly fine Nate" she says but her voice cracks and I know she is not fine. My heart pounds against my ears...what could happen to her.

"Natalie...please tell me what happened." I asked but instead I heard a noise...more like a baby's soft cooes...

"What is that sound Natalie?" Mason asked in a breathlessness.

"I got them... both. They both are with me right now. We are coming though Kevin Davidson's private jet. I am sure he would be there to pick us up but can you also be there?" She asks me...but I am unable to process the fact that our childrens are safe and with her.

"Yeah.. yes.. I am on the way to the airport.. no worries... how did you get them?" I ask her....she went to talk with Luke but now she is coming back with kids?

" I didn't...Luke's little sister Allison did... she also told me everything Nate.. everything. It's really a serious secret... I will tell you guys in person when we meet.

Nate.... Allison was hurt.. covered in blood and told me everything honestly and protected us all.. and I didn't even thank her once or check on her injuries...I feel like a terrible person... I was so out of my mind I didn't even care enough to see if that little girl was fine, she's just a high school kid who'd risk her life to get our kids and I didn't even look back once to check her.. I feel terrible! " she chokes out in a whisper...maybe afraid to wake the children or scare them.

"It's fine. We can always call Luke and check on her. Your priority was the kids and that's what you did. It's fine. How long until you reach here?" Mason asked her and she said a couple of hours.

"Can you send their pictures ?" Mason asks and she agrees. She ends the call and sends the pictures. My heart stops the second I see my daughter's picture. She is sleeping in a foetal position. Natalie must have swamped her hair back so I could see half her face. She did look like Aurora but I could also see part of myself in her, and her blond hair was the same shade of mine. I didn't even realise that I had started crying. My daughter .... I have a daughter and she is alive. I then swipe to my nephew's picture. He looked at the camera with wide eyes. He looked like Mason , a carbon copy of him...with brown hair. He looked so small. Both of them.

"Natalie...bring them both to us" Mason send a message to which she replied.

"I am. I WILL! I promise.".

I waited 4 more hours and it felt like hell. Mason called me 56 times until then and 100+msg in the group. Beatrice had woken up 2 hours ago but she wouldn't speak. My daughter looked so damn scared and sad, I wanted to destroy everything that made her like that. Natalie had video calls us, showing her and the baby. She said her battery was low and she was going to charge it... so now I am suffering at the airport and Mason at home. Life suddenly took a 180 degree turn. Until yesterday I didn't even have any idea that I had a daughter and now she is coming home to me.
