CHAPTER 29- NATALIE

"What was that about?" I ask her once we are inside the club as she  wears her hair in a pony.

"I told you my breathtaking, mesmerizing looks will be useful. Not trying to be a narcissist but People just fall for my beauty and it's called pretty privileges." She said it so Obnoxiously, but I could see the clear lie.

"That was not a pretty privilege. It was something else! The scar on your arm.. that's what got you inside.. what was with the hair too?" I ask her but I'm pretty sure she mutters something like, "I yell at you, you'll know- I am the queen of the " but the loud music made it hard to make sense. She takes my arms and drags me to a bathroom door. When we entered, the noise was gradually low and Allison went to check if each and every stall was empty.

" What was that?" I asked her and she finally spared me her attention and looked at me with great concentration.

" I really do have a very important question for you. I answered each and every one of yours, it's only fair you answer mine" she says and i nod,

" Okay, go ahead, it better not be about my personal life" I told her and she shook her head, her hair flying from the movement greeting a beautiful wave.

" Did you like.. not even for once...doubted how you got each and every information from the internet so easily and got to speak with Lea storm without any hassle and immediately ... .like how every information was handed to you on a silver plate, in a matter of days?" she asked, observing me with a serious concentration.

What the hell does she mean by that question?

" Why would I question something I spend days searching on? " I tell her, suddenly defensive, unable to understand what she's trying to say or indicate.

" So you just thought you were super lucky to have found exact posts, comments and articles to gather the information out of thousands of posts? That you were simply lucky enough to have had everything on net and from Lea? Without even confirming authentication or so? Did you really believe you were that lucky and smart?" she asked, her tone of a very calculated predator that made me want to run away from her, the way she asked me those questions made me question my whole existence. What exactly was she insisting by questioning that? She must have seen through my hardest trying to remain calm face because her shoulders drop and a smile made it to her face, her whole aura and posture changed in a matter of seconds

" You know the thing about the chess board and pawn? People think that the queen is the most powerful piece, but it's the pawns that change the games. No one knows how it will be used, to kill? To be sacrificed/ to block the opponent or divert it, or become a bigger piece, so many uses you see. Best piece and so many of them and they don't even know how they are being used.

By far on the board, you've been my best pawn Natalie Fallon Carson" she says with that smile again and I freeze.

How did she know my middle name? I erased it years back, even from my legal documents, no one on this planet including Mary knew it...and what's she talking about me being a pawn?

" Your best pawn?" I asked her, trying to keep my voice stable and in control, but it was hard to not to be intimidated by Allison at this point. It was clear she was on a level entirely different from us. She was smart, stronger, confident and she knows what she is doing.

She sighs and then looks in the mirror, acting like fixing her hair while wearing her jacket.

" You are so easy to manipulate, Luke was tense and stressed for no reason, I'd told him you'd never figured it out until I want, That in the end you'd only know what I want you to know...what I want Nathan and Mason to know. I told him you'd be the easiest person...target." she said and slid her blue eyes on me through the mirror, looking at me with sharp attention, freezing me on the spot.
