CHAPTER 22- NATHAN

It's fake! it's fake! it's just not real and she doesn't feel anything but some partnership! Fake marriage doesn't change anything! I keep reciting the mantra in my head over and over again as my heart does flip flops in my chest! I am a husband now- to Natalie Carson! It's just for the plan and it's just so simultaneous, no prenup, paper work or contract, I don't think I have ever made any such reckless decision but it just felt so right with Natalie. Holding her hand feels right, being by her side feels so right but the moment my brain jumps in and the realization of the situation hits- that Natalie doesn't feel an ounce of what I feel for her or that this all is fake, my heart drops.

"Ok Lovebird! Off you go! Cause havoc and make sure to give me each and every detail of what's happening. And oh ... .do use protection, we don't want a baby now do we?" he said winking at Natalie whose face goes all red in fluster.

" No such thing will be happening! We are...um...good friends who fake married for the sole purpose of finding our nephew! Mr. Wild and I are.. formal! Now if you may excuse us!" Natalie said as she snatched her bag from Luke, glaring at him as my heart dropped a little more further at her admission. Luke just smirked my way AGAIN and put a hand over her shoulder and looked at her and then me.

" You guys know right? no one will believe you if you don't act like couples...which would include skin ship- touching! Convince Victoria Wild that you guys are actually having a baby and the person I want to know will know. That means dear sister in law that you will have to show affection towards my dear brother, hold his hand, kiss him in public. Obviously given how violent mood swings you have there will be no further discussion on whether the baby is real or not but do cut down on wine and make fake appointments and those black and white baby pics. Off you go dear sister in law, congratulations!" he said as he literally shoved her away and she angrily went inside the airport for a security check up. Luke then turns to me and then again there is the stupid smirk that taunts me for some reason.

" You owe me a big one brother! Make this fake one a real one. You can do it so please don't screw this up" he said smirking as he leaned against the car leaving me flustered.

" What? What do u-" I stammered only making him smirk more

" Oh please! It is as clear as a dessert's sky that you are whipped by her but damn ....friendzone on the wedding day! Congratulations brother" he said, chuckling as he slapped my shoulder. Damn! Am I that obvious or is he that sharp?

I glare at him, not forgetting my hostility," I still haven't forgiven you! I could have forgiven anything you did but...you hurt mom a lot! You running away broke our family Luke! You took away her smile!" I snapped at him, unable to get rid of my anger. That one sentence seems to sober the Obnoxious Luke.

" I'd go back to her in a heartbeat if ... .Just know that if you had been..in place that day you would have taken the same steps I have taken. And for god's sake Nate- don't make assumptions about things you don't know!" he said as he started getting back into his car in anger.

" I don't know BECAUSE you decided that I wasn't strong or smart enough to know!" I yelled back and that made him get out in anger and he came to my face.

" I left because I trusted you and Mason enough!" he yelled back " How am I supposed to protect them if I don't know who to protect them from!?" I yelled back, shoving him, feeling all the rage at this brat!. Natalie came running at us, putting herself in between us but I shoved her aside in fear she'd get hurt if we got physical.

" For god's sake stop causing a scene at the airport! Mr. Wild! Be mature. Luke, please go away!" She said, standing in front of me. Luke pinched his nose in anger going back to his car.
