CHAPTER 31- NATALIE

I could see Nathan was on sensory overload. It was all too much for him, everything. He was way too quiet and pale. But his clenched jaws and frown said else..

" Let me summarize this shit. Victoria paid for the twins to die so that aunt Phoebe's twins could replace them and live a big happy family?" he says and Kevin nods.

" But mama Violet was killed and so were the twins supposed to be when they were going to be born.. this was before papa Will and Aunt Phoebe did.. the twins...they were not in the picture so why? You are again leaving things out! Why was mama Violet killed if not for Joseph and Josephine? Aurora was taken before the twins were taken so she couldn't have known anything. It makes no sense!" Nathan says calmly after much calculation and a smirk makes its way to Kevin's face.

" I must say, your brothers really underestimated you." he says, agreeing as I make sure the headphones are safely secured on Beatrice's ears and she sleeps. I played soft lullaby for her so that she wouldn't know what we are talking about

" I didn't have time to ask Allison about that one. What is the truth behind it Mr. Davidson?" I asked him. I knew somewhere in my gut that this was the most we'd know.

" That was when Victoria was on the other side of the board playing Esther and made her first pawn sacrifice-the first collateral damage- killing Violet Sanchez" he said and stopped the car in front of a palace type mansion.

" Why are we at Amaranthine ?" Nathan asked in alert and confusion.

" What is Amaranthine?" I ask them.

" Top notch club for limited members. No one knows how many and who else is in there and what happens in it but it is one of the most expensive private clubs. You need to have membership to join it. Kevin Davidson is the co-owner of it" Nathan explained to me. It must mean a lot in his millionaire business world.

" He and Mason got rejected three times in a row and they stopped applying. Word of advice, you need to be skilled enough to get picked in such clubs, not apply like some failed job seeking interns. Cole is waiting for you guys. Leave the kids here itself, they will be protected." he said but I firmly refused, like hell I was going to let them out of my sight ever again!

" The kids stay with us!" I say him but he simply shrugs

" Suit yourself then" he says and gets out, signaling the guards.

I gently wake Beatrice

" Hey princess, we need to go somewhere. Are you too tired or maybe your dad can carry you?" I ask her when she opens her eyes drowsily as I remove the headphones. She shakes her hand and holds on to my sleeves. I know this would break Nathan's heart, but he will have to be really patient and make up for all the years he lost to her. I ask Nathan to hold the baby as I hold on to Beatrice as we follow Kevin. I could feel a thick tension between them two. Bad blood, maybe something to do with their business world.

" Why do you hate him? You are not even masking your dislike for him?" I ask Nathan to which he scowls some more.

" It's a long history, isn't it Wild?" Kevin answered smirking but it was more of a taunt.

" Doesn't matter now, she's gone and neither has she," Nathan replied as we entered the elevator. My brows shot up. A girl?

" You both were after the same girl? You have ten years of age difference to have mattered in the past!" I say him and he scowls even more.

" Bella! Isabella! Never seen a guy pursue a girl harder than he did when they were kids...six or eight something." he said with a disgusted face as he remembered the past.
