"These are tears of joy. Thank you for bringing me here."
Kayla's POV
"Adie, di mo ba ako papakilala sa friend mo?" I heard a deep voice saying.
"Pa!" Adie stood up, then kissed her dad.
"Kayla, my papa. Pa, si Kayla po, manliligaw daw," I swallowed before speaking. I was caught off guard. Gumaganti ata kasi ako love ng mama niya.
"Sir, good morning po," I said, then shook his hand.
The handshake was firm, and I was starting to sweat.
"Liligawan mo 'tong princess ko?"
"Yes, sir. If payag po kayo."
"No!" He exclaimed. I admit, namutla ako.
"Pa naman! Wag mong takutin," Adie begged her dad.
"Biro lang, hija. I'm a fan." He tapped my shoulder lightly using his left hand, while Adie was just hugging her dad's other arm.
Wooh! Di ko na mabalik angas ko.
"Don't worry, sir. I will never hurt your daughter," I assured the old man. I saw Adie smile as she went back to her seat.
"Kayla, love can always hurt you. Most of the time, hurting is part of loving. You will understand me along the way. Basta you promise me, kids, kung mahal mo, ipaglaban mo. And... communicate. Wag kayong maglilihim sa isa't isa."
"I will keep that in mind, sir," I told him.
"Punta muna ako sa resto ha? You enjoy Cebu, Kayla. And... welcome to the family," he said, then bid goodbye.
"Nilaglag mo naman ako, love, eh," I said to Adie while scratching the back of my head.
"Matapang ka eh. Di ko nga alam na magpapaalam ka kay mama," she answered.
Adie and I were in her room, chilling and just waiting for her mom to come home. She went to the salon, but she said that we're going to have a quick tour around the area.
"Baby?"
"Yes, love ko?" I answered.
She was sitting on the bed, so I pulled her, making her lie down beside me so I could hug her.
"Bukas ko pa sasabihin kay mama na nakapasa ako sa audition. Wag ka munang magkwento about dun ha?" Adie said, facing me.
"Okay, love. Ay love, did you see boss M's email?"
"Oo. Kaya nga kailangan ko nang magsabi kay mama para makalipad na tayong Bacolod," Adie said.
She was wearing a tank top that had a low neckline, making me see more skin...
"Love..." I mumbled, trying to sound seductive.
"Anong tingin yan, baby? Naughty ka nanaman ah," she said, hitting my arm.
"Your fault," I told her, and then slowly moved closer, leaving an inch between our lips.
"Bat nanaman?" she said. She's now looking at my lips, and I did the same.
"You're so hot po kasi," I said, making her chuckle.
"Double lock ko lang yung main door," she said, and then stood up, leaving me in her room. Luckily, it was just the two of us in the house.
