Clay's POV
"Habulin niyo!" Joey exclaimed while she knelt beside Adie on the floor.
I ran outside. Maya, Shane, and Gail followed me. We were looking for Kayla, but maybe she had already left, so we decided to head to the airport where she said she was going.
We finally saw Kayla, and she had just bought a ticket.
"Saan ka pupunta, Kayla?" Maya asked. She was surprised to see us.
"Sa runway lang, mumurahin ko lang yung airplane," she said, leaving us confused.
"Mga ate, nababaliw na ba si ate Kayla?" Shane asked, sounding so innocent. Gail held her hand to comfort her.
"Pare, ano ba? Bakit mo iniwan si Adie dun?" I asked her.
"Babalik naman ako. I'll just love her without her knowing. I'll make her feel loved kahit di pwede. I couldn't let her give up on her dreams because of me," she told us. She looked tough, but her tears betrayed her.
"Eh san ka nga pupunta?" Maya asked again.
"I'm serious. Mumurahin ko yung airplane. I tracked kasi yung plane the night Adie made a wish kasi akala niya shooting star tapos airplane pala," she explained. Seryoso nga si tanga. Nag-aksaya lang ng pera.
"Natatakot na si Shane. Kayla, hintayin ka nalang namin dito. Sabay na tayo bumalik sa hotel," Gail said, making the redhead nod.
"Nasan si Kayla?" We heard Adie's voice. When we looked up, she was with Joey and Stella. Her eyes looked like she had been crying for days kahit saglit pa lang. Tumutulo nanaman luha niya.
"Andun sa eroplano. Mumurahin daw," Shane said. She really looked worried. Good thing Gail was there to comfort her. Daming nangyayari. Hindi na ako makapag-isip. Buti kasama ko rin uyab ko.
"Di ko gets," Stella said.
"Di rin namin gets nung una eh. Dun daw kasi nagwish si Adie sabi ni Kayla," Gail explained.
"Nung nasa Calamba tayo, nagwish ako sa shooting star tapos eroplano lang pala," Adie said as she wiped her tears.
"Natrack niya raw kung anong plane yun," I added.
"Susundan ko siya. Alam mo ba anong flight?" Adie asked me.
"Di ka na makakabili ng ticket. Fully booked na raw," I told her.
"Hintayin nalang natin siya dito, please," Shane begged.
Adie hugged Shane. She was the youngest, and she looked traumatized because of what was happening.
"Sorry, Shane. Sorry guys, parang ginugulo ko kayo," Adie told us, crying again. Di pa ba 'to dehydrated?
"Wag kang magsorry. Part ka ng MASQUE at malalagpasan natin 'to," Joey assured Adie.
We waited for half an hour, and then we saw Kayla walking towards us. She didn't even look at Adie. She was cold, just like before she met my best friend.
"Baby, usap muna tayo please," I heard Adie say.
"Lo—Adie..."
Pain. Ramdam ko yung sakit nun. Naaawa ako kay Adie. Sa kanila parehas.
