"Airplane," she mumbled.
Adie's POV
I felt my heart racing because of what she said. Naaalala niya?
"Anong meron?" I asked, eager to know what she remembered.
"When I was asleep for a long time, lagi akong nasa runway. Then inaaway ko raw 'yung airplane dahil hindi niya tinupad 'yung wish ng taong mahal ko," Kayla said.
Malapit na ba siyang makaalala? I just looked at her, unsure if I should tell her the reason behind her dream.
"I am starting to remember, right?" she said again, noticing that I was silent and just staring at her.
"Siguro. Nagwish kasi ako sa airplane before eh, tapos may time na magku-quit na sana ako dahil may love ban, pero di ka pumayag. Tapos sinugod mo 'yung airplane. Tinrack mo pa talaga," I told her, laughing and shaking my head at the memory.
"BN 8141," she mumbled.
"Ha?"
"The flight number. BN 8141! I can remember, love!" Kayla exclaimed.
I was shocked. Napasigaw na rin ako sa tuwa.
"Naaalala mo na lahat?!" I exclaimed, but my excitement quickly faded.
"I mean... naalala ko 'yung part na 'yun..."—natahimik siya at kumunot ang noo—"love?"
"Yes, baby?" I answered sweetly, my heart melting at the sound of her calling me love again.
"Do you believe in love at first sight?" she asked. Nanlaki ang mga mata ko. I ran towards her and hugged her tightly. Buti nalang wala na ang mga wires na connected sa kanya at dextrose nalang ang meron siya.
"Yes, Kayla!" I exclaimed, then kissed her on the cheek.
"I do!" I said again, kissing her on the forehead.
"Pati 2nd sight!" I kissed her other cheek.
"3rd!" I exclaimed again, then gave her a peck on the lips.
I saw her eyes grow wide because of what I did. I just watched her as her cheeks turned red.
"Ahm... thanks, I guess?" Kayla said, still blushing.
"Ay, sorry," I mumbled, realizing my actions.
"Baka magalit girlfriend mo," she said, avoiding eye contact.
"Bat ka naman magagalit? Tsaka after pa ng training kita sasagutin," I told her. She looked confused, her brows furrowing.
"I thought that Michelle was your girlfriend?" patanong na sabi niya.
"Hindi 'no. Sabi niya magpretend daw kaming magjowa para magselos ka. Ayaw ko nga sana kasi baka lalo ka lang bumalik kay Jess," I explained nervously, staring at my hands. I was worried she might get angry at us for tricking her.
"Why did you kiss me?" Kayla suddenly asked, changing the topic. Lord, kampi ka sa 'kin today. Thank you po.
"Natuwa ako. Tinanong mo rin kasi sa 'kin, nung kakakilala lang natin, kung naniniwala ba ako sa love at first sight eh. Akala ko nga tinatanong mo yun kasi akala mo yun ung nafeel ko kay Joey," I overshared, realizing too late that I mentioned Joey. Bat ko pa binanggit ung kay Jo? Haist.
"Joey? You like Joey?" Kayla asked, frowning.
