I looked at her and blushed right away as our faces were just inches apart. I couldn't move. I wanted to let go of her soft hand, but at the same time, I didn't want to. Ganito ba epekto niya sa mga babae? Rupok ko naman.

Adie's POV

I felt at ease talking to Kayla, but we didn't discuss anything personal. I wanted to get to know her better, but I also wished I could talk to Joey like this. She was busy with her phone while I scanned the notes she had discussed earlier. She told me to practice with her tomorrow. And yes, we were still holding hands.

After scanning the notes for the third time, I heard light snores coming from the redhead. I studied her features—she was so beautiful. Her eyebrows were her best asset. I was getting sleepy too, so I decided to give in.

I felt my phone vibrating, but our hands caught my eye and made me smile. She was still sleeping. When I checked the time, we had been asleep for an hour already.

"Ehem," Clay caught my attention. She was standing by the door.

I signaled for her to keep quiet. I didn't know what got into me, but I cuddled closer to Kayla, taking in her scent.

I woke up again after 30 minutes and was shocked to find that our faces were an inch away.

"Ehem," Maya was the one looking at us this time. "Gisingin mo na yan, magdinner na tayo," she said and then left. I couldn't decipher her reaction, though. She was frowning, but her tone didn't sound angry.

"K? Kayla?"

"Hmm..." she made a sound. Adorable. If only I could wake up to this every day.

"D-don't... don't fall for Joey," she mumbled. Was she aware of what she was saying? And why?

"Do... do you... believe in love at first sight?" she asked me. Did she think that was how I felt when I saw Joey?

"Ouch!!!" Kayla exclaimed when Clay hit her with a pillow. I was startled too.

"Ayusin mo, Kayla."

"What did I do?" she asked, noticing she was looking at our intertwined fingers.

"Ikaw din, Adie. Nandito ka para magprepare sa audition, hindi para makipaglandian," Clay said, which made Kayla and I let go of each other's hands.

"Nakatulog lang eh!" I said defensively.

"Ang lalandi niyo. Kakain na!" she said, then left. We heard her again, "Wag niyong hintayin bumalik ako," which made us follow her.

Kayla was grumpy but started eating right away.

"Adie, sleep in my room later. May mga kababalaghang nangyayari dito pagsapit nang alas dose," Joey said while passing the rice to Maya. My two friends were controlling their laughter while Kayla continued eating, still looking grumpy, sleepy, and... cute.

"M-may multo?" I asked, feeling scared already.

"Si Kayla ung multo," Maya said, then finally let out a loud laugh.

"Tignan mo. Kaya laging puyat," Clay teased.

"Wag kang maniwala sa mga yan. Kaibigan ko lang sila," Kayla suddenly spoke. But the three were still teasing her. "Pero kung gusto mong multohin kita, okay lang din," she continued.

Maya threw the bone of her chicken at Kayla, almost hitting her, but Maya quickly cleaned it up when Joey gave her THE look. Takot din pala.

"Di mo talaga jowa si Clay?" the redhead asked me, sitting to my right.
