"Ung utak niya naman nakalimot mga ate eh. Hindi naman puso niya," Shane said.
Adie's POV
It was the second day that Kayla was awake. The girls visited early as usual. I asked our manager if I could skip training today, and he let me since he was aware that Kayla couldn't remember me. He said that I should help our main rapper remember, along with the rest of our group.
Clay was showing videos starting from the day she met me. She laughed all the time and asked questions until I saw her blushing.
"Kayla, masama ba pakiramdam mo? May lagnat ka ba?" I asked as I walked towards her, then touched her forehead.
I took a glance at the video she was watching. It was the time we were making out in the pool.
"Clay! Bat pati 'yan?!" I exclaimed.
"Give it back!" Kayla exclaimed as I grabbed the phone.
"Ayoko!" I answered loudly.
"Ung sa pool ba 'yan?" Maya asked and Clay nodded.
"Give it back na please! I wanna see!" the redhead whined.
"Ayaw nga!"
"Oh, demonstrate nalang," Kayla said, puckering her lips.
"Kadiri naman 'tong mga 'to," Gail mumbled.
I finally gave in and handed the phone back to her, but I was still annoyed and... nakakahiya!
During lunchtime, Kayla's dad joined her, while the other MASQUE members and I decided to eat outside to give them some alone time.
"Ate Adie, kaya mo pa ba? What if umuwi ka muna para makabawi ka naman ng tulog," Shane said after we were done eating.
"Kaya pa, Shane. Kailangan ako ni Kayla," I told her.
"Ayaw mo bang bigyan ng chance si Michelle? Grabe rin 'yung effort niya sa 'yo eh," Joey said.
"Naaattach na rin ako sa kanya sa totoo lang. Kung walang Kayla, siguro matagal ko na rin siyang sinagot," I answered honestly.
During the first days of Kayla's hospital stay, Michelle confessed her feelings for me and expressed her desire to court me. She mentioned that she was aware of my feelings towards Kayla but insisted that she would do anything to make me happy. I declined, but she said she'd do it anyway kahit sa panahon lang na di pa gumigising si Kayla.
We returned to the hospital, but Kayla's dad had already left, leaving the redhead with another person.
"Hi!" Jess, Kayla's ex-girlfriend, greeted us. Kala ko naman di na siya magpaparamdam after nilang magkita ulit sa Bacolod. She was holding the redhead's hand, making my blood boil. Stella held my shoulder, as if trying to make me relax.
"Bat ka nandito?" Clay asked, sounding annoyed.
"Relax, pare. Jess explained everything to me and she had a valid reason why she left before," Kayla said, sounding defensive.
"Ano? Nalaman niyang bumili ka ng engagement ring kaya biglang tumakbo?" Maya said angrily.
Engagement ring? Di ko alam 'yon ah. Hanggang kailan ba 'ko masasaktan?
Kayla breathed heavily before speaking again, while Jess was just looking down. Mukhang guilty or paawa?
"I was young and stupid too. Ang bata namin parehas tapos gusto ko nang magpakasal. But that was not the reason. Why don't you tell them, babu?" Kayla said. Para akong sinasaksak nang paulit-ulit sa dibdib sa narinig ko.
