Lloyd & Harumi are early 20's

"And you're sure you two will be okay alone?" Misako asked as she grabbed her backpack, which Garmadon took to carry for her, offering a small smile.

"Yes, Mom."

"We can go tomorrow evening when the others are in."

"It's okay, Mom." Lloyd grabbed Harumi's hands, intertwining their fingers. "I'll be fine as long as I'm with Rumi."

Misako gave a little bit of a funny look.. It'd only been a couple months since Ninjago was back in order, after the Onis were defeated. Only four to five months before did Harumi redeem and change sides, seeing how wrong the situation had went.

Lloyd had always seen good in Harumi's eyes. She was what he would've been, had the Ninjas not helped him.
She deserved a chance too, her more than him, really. He did some bad, and got the chance to turn. She was grieving after the loss of her mother, and then got the chance to turn.

Sensing the slight tense vibe in the air, Garmadon spoke up. "We should get going if we want to make it for that presentation, Missy."

"There's leftovers in the fridge if you two want them. Oh, and don't forget to turn the alarms on before you go to bed!" Misako said as she and Garmadon left the Monastery. Harumi sighed, watching them leave.

"She hates me."

Lloyd turned to face his girlfriend, wrapping his arms around her waist. "She doesn't hate you.. She's just cautious."

"Cautious of me.. I don't blame her either."

Lloyd brought Harumi's hand up to his chest, laying the palm over his shirt. "Feel that? That's my heart beat."

Harumi scoffed, smiling. "Well I didn't think it was your imaginary watch when you want to escape Kai's wrath."

Lloyd chuckled softly before lifting his hand to her free arm's elbow. "Hey, I'm trying to be romantic here." Harumi nodded, listening.
"If you wanted me dead, I'd be dead. But that, is my heart beating as it has done for a long time." the blonde said as he reached his hand up to beneath Harumi's chin, urging her to look up into his eyes.

"I trust you, Harumi Jade, more than you trust yourself." Lloyd said, leaning his forehead down againdt Harumi's. The white-haired female let out a small sigh.

"I'm sorry, I don't mean to be such a downer."

"You're not a downer, Love, you're just getting over what happened." Lloyd stated. His hand reached over to a stray piece of Harumi's hair, which curled around his finger. "Don't think I haven't noticed your persistence in having no straight hair."

Harumi huffed. "Am I that obvious?"

"No, I'm just the best observant boyfriend going."

"My ass."

"You know if I were Kai I'd say a stupid joke, but I'd prefer to be breathing tomorrow." Lloyd said before pecking Harumi on the cheek, hoping to smooth over his comment. Though, instead he received a blow to the gut.
He groaned, laughing through the pain.
