Bumpy Ride

I don't know if anyone else watched YouTube Shorts and TikTok as much as I do for random drama, specifically KDrama and so on.. But there's this one thing I've seen a lot lately and it's this one ride where you try stay seated in a circle and get THROWN around. Usually you end up thrown into someone or a trip to the hospital, and I thought how this would be a funny scenario to write

Then, I thought "Oo, what if the bounty went out of control and it was the same situation of trying to stay seated?"

Alright, story time over. Into the oneshot!

Lloyd and Harumi were in the storage room, as it was their turn to finally sort the intake from this week. It was also Kai's duty, but he got called up a minute ago because Jay couldn't manage to do something on his own?

Less than five minutes later, and the alarm was blaring. The pair were immediately startled, Lloyd running to the door to see what was going on. Though, when he tried to open it, he discovered it was locked as he went shoulder-first into it.

"What's going on?!" Harumi yelled over the blaring noise, covering her ears.

"I don't know!" Lloyd yelled back, pushing on the door again.

"Guys, the thrusters powered down!" Jay's voice could be heard over the speaker, "All the hatches have gone on lockdown!"

"EVERYONE, brace for impact!" Kai yelled over the speakers, as he should. They were descending onto a mountain's slope that was incredibly long and steep.

Harumi quickly locked the last cabinet that she and Lloyd had sorted, before they felt a vibration through the ground as the bounty made contact with the rocky surface.
Both young adults sunk to the ground, grasping onto whatever they could to try stay in one piece. Harumi was thrown all around, hitting her hips against the corner of the cabinet on accident.
Lloyd was grasping onto a bar as he reached out with his spare arm, wrapping it around Harumi's waist and pulling her to him. Harumi, thankful for Lloyd's assistance, latched onto his shoulder with one hand and held the other by his head, grasping onto the bar as well to lock them into place.

In a matter of minutes, the thumping and bumping was over. They could feel the bounty come to a stop, presumably having landed onto some flat land.
Lloyd's arm was still secured around Harumi's waist before he looked up, checking if she was okay. Her face was still leant in his shoulder, giving him just the simple view of her chest. Thank god it was fully clothed or Harumi would be on more than his lap.

Harumi, somewhat confident they were now okay, pulled her head back. She let out a small, shaky breath before releasing both hands. She checked over Lloyd's head.

"Are you alright? I assume you took more damage than me." Harumi fussed, checking wherever she could in their current position.

"No, no.. I'm fine." Lloyd convinced, "You were being thrown left-right-and-center, are you alright?"

"I've been thrown around before, I'll be fine." Harumi reassured before climbing off his lap.

"Hey, uh- sorry about that."

"About what?"

"Just.. dragging you onto me like that."

"Don't be, you saved me from falling unconscious probably." Harumi helped Lloyd up onto his feet, only now realising just how hot she felt.
"I'm not trying to flirt, I swear, but is it hot in here?"

"Hell.. you're right." Lloyd pulled on the collar of his gi in hope for some give, "It is hot."

"The collision must've knocked out the air conditioning and communications, seeing as we haven't heard the others yet.."

"So you're saying, we're locked in here together, this room will turn into a sauna, and we're unable to make contact with the others?!"

"Yes, but shut up, the ventilation may be working but the more stressed you get, the hotter the room will get."

"Alright, alright, I'm sorry it's just.. Agh, damn it."

"Hey, at least we're in a room full of gadgets. Let's try find something to get us out, or at least make an air gap."

"Okay.. Yeah, let's try that Rumi."
