This title is my reaction to this situation... And for story purposes we're switching Harumi and Lloyd's confidences around.

Basically, this idea isn't an idea but more of a page taken from my own life, one in which my classmates actually play a part and this guy, who I'm pretty sure is crushing me, despite being a bit scared of me.
He kinda does those obvious "i like you stuff", he looks like Kai but acts like Lloyd.

Anyway.. Let's get on with this, haha!

Harumi was sat at a table with a few "friends" her age, she doesn't really call them friends, more classmates. They only really hang out in class or at events at their academy. Whereas outside life, they don't do much at all.
Thus, classmates and not friends.

They had no idea Harumi was so good at engineering class because her father fixes and sells cars, rather than just being lucky.
They did know that she had gotten hurt too, just not how. She was walking around with a cast along her palm and wrist, after she had broken it.

Due to her family being quite poor growing up, Harumi's body wasn't naturally strong. Sure, she went to the gym, but it didn't heal quickly. She was still playing catch-up with vitamin pills, protein counts and monthly blood tests.

This week had been the biggest trouble just because of the cast. She didn't like asking her father to drop her off as he already had so much on his plate, so she took the train instead of her bike.
Now, she was struggling to reach over to the end of her desk to grab something from her pen case, unable to reach with her good arm. She sighed to herself as quietly as she could, giving up.

"Hey," a voice, soft and kind called. Harumi looked over to the seat next to her, where a blonde-haired male with green eyes flashed a smile - Lloyd Smith, one of the best players on the soccer team.
"need a hand?" he asked as he scooted his seat over in the hopes the teacher wouldn't notice them talking.

"Oh, well if you don't mind.. Can you grab me that light blue highlighter and angle tracer?" Harumi whispered in a hush, the blonde nodded, reaching into her pencil case and grabbing what she needed. He passed them to her, putting the case closer to her good hand so she could get what else she needed from now on.
"Thank you." Harumi said with a small voice crack, focusing her eyes and mind on her paper, flipping the lid of the highlighter off as she begun to highlight.

"Not a problem." Lloyd stated as he focused back on his own paper, without moving back to his old place, staying relatively close to her.

He was sweet, and cute.. She never knew such a cocky and overenthusiastic male could be so.. sweet.
She's gotta remember to craft him something some day.

Walking out of class with her bag thrown over her shoulder and her jacket around her waist, Harumi headed down the hallway to her locker, already plotting how to open it with her full hands - or hand in this case.

"Hey, Harumi!" a very familiar voice called. Harumi turned around to see the sweet, helpful blonde rush over.
"Let me help you. There's no way you can manage on your own without crashing and burning."

"I can manage on my own, Lloyd.." Harumi said, though she made it clear she wasn't insulted as she softly smiled.

"I know, but managing doesn't always have to do." Lloyd gave a playful wink before he held his hands out. "Here, let me."

Harumi surrendered her books to the blonde, leading him over towards her locker afterwards. She struggled, but eventually managed to slap in the combination. Lloyd passed her her books one at a time for her to put them away as she liked, waiting patiently until she'd done.
He insisted that she should sit with him and some of his friends, or at least with him. He confessed that he saw her always sat alone, and not for long. He wanted her to have a reason to stay sat rather than walking to class early and doing extra work.

She really didn't know he noticed this much.. It surprised her. He really takes that much notice, without being a creep?

And, of course, Lloyd did encourage her. And even if she stayed quiet, at least she had a small smile and bad an extra bite or two to eat.

Maybe there was hope for a friendship yet?
