I don't know, I fancied writing something with malewife Lloyd, and the Dragon Rising kids.
And, per usual, I have not updated myself up on Dragons Rising and have forgotten most of the lore, so this is more of a calm scene... somewhat

•••••••••••

Sora was tying up her ponytail as she held her cat headphones between her teeth, popping them back on top of her head afterwards.
Harumi was usually there getting breakfast ready, considering she was one of the best cooks in the house - especially since Zane and Pixal have been working on a project all night and need to recharge.

Instead of Harumi though, Nya was there with Mini-Pix assisting her. Sora raised an eyebrow as she approached.

"Hi Nya, where's Harumi?"

Nya turned, "Are my pancakes that bad?" she kidded with a risen brow. Sora shook her head.

"No, they're great just.. Usually Harumi's first in here."

"Have you tried asking Lloyd? I'm sure he'll have an idea."

"Master Lloyd?" Sora confirmed, "Why would he know?"

Nya giggled, "Be glad I'm not Kai, or I'd give you an extremely unhinged answer."

Sora snickered. "Okay, I'll go find him, thanks Nya."

Sora headed off to find Lloyd, and instead, she found Arin and WyldFyre. Arin was jumping trying to reach WyldFyre on a wooden pole, where she held his hand-held game console.
It was clear Lloyd wasn't there, because chaos was happening.

"Kai! Come control your daughter please!" Sora called, hearing Cole call back that Kai was out getting the groceries after pulling the short straw.

"I am not his daughter!" Wyldfyre hissed, laughing after she saw Arin struggle again.

"Really? Because you two look exactly what Nya describes what Kai and Lloyd used to be like."

Sora, wanting information on where Lloyd was, helped Arin by giving him a boost. Wyldfyre pouted at first, but then yielded as they beat her fair and square.

"Is breakfast ready yet? I'm starving." Wyldfyre commented, scratching the back of her neck.

"Me too! I hope she's making her secret recipe one." Arin made a small "mm" noise.

"Harumi's not cooking breakfast. Nya is." Sora commented, bursting their bubbles of the hope of Harumi's specialty. "That's why I was trying to find Lloyd, have you two seen him?"

"Lloyd? Why Lloyd?" Arin asked, confused as to why Sora would look for Lloyd if she was curious about Harumi's absence.

"I dunno, Nya said to ask him. She wouldn't tell me anything else. Well, aside from whatever Kai would have said would have been "unhinged"."

"Huh, strange." Arin tried to think, but after two whole minutes, WyldFyre couldn't hold her theory in any longer.

"Guys, it's OBVIOUS." Wyldfyre claimed, getting their attention. "They're cousins."

"...They look nothing alike." Arin commented.

"I know! That's why I said cousins and not siblings."

Arin and Sora just looked completely disappointed in that theory. More disappointed than HawkMothsDearMayura when someone says TannerFishies isn't bias.

"Why don't we just find him and ask where Harumi is?" Arin suggested, Sora nodded.

"Why not just find Harumi?" Wyldfyre asked.

"Because we don't know where she is and apparently Lloyd will!" Arin and Sora answered on unison.

"Oh, that makes more sense. Wait for me!" Wyldfyre ran in after her two fellow students.

•••••••••

"Lloydddd.. You don't need to stay with me." Harumi said as she was laid out on top of the covers of her bed, still in her pyjama shirt and pants.

"Don't be silly," Lloyd said as he wiped her forehead with the damp flannel over her forehead, "you can't look after yourself when you feel like this."

"The kids will be wondering where you areee.." Harumi grumbled as she tried to ignore the irritating itching sensation along her arms, she went to scratch by reaction but was stopped by Lloyd's other hand.

"No, no." Lloyd said softly, pulling her hand away, "Don't do that." Harumi pushed his hand away and let out a sad sigh.

"Sorry I just- feel like crap." Harumi said before laying her hands down on the covers.

"Don't apologise. You can't help being ill." Lloyd rubbed her shoulder gently. Harumi seemed to settle, closing her eyes for a moment.
"The kids won't mind. They hate the early hours and wouldn't like you being left alone while you feel bad." Lloyd pulled the flannel away, laying it on the bowl of cold water that was rested on the bedside table.

"It's still not fair.." Harumi complained, curling back up. Lloyd reached his hand to her face and cupped her cheek, gently running his thumb against her skin.

"Has anything in our lives been fair?"

"Not in the slightest.." Harumi shuffled her head further into his hand, finding comfort within his touch.

Then, the three students knocked before opening the door. They had checked Lloyd's room for him, then went to check Harumi's. All of them were instantly concerned, Harumi wasn't one for being lazy, especially not at this hour.
They hurried over and got an explanation from Lloyd, and a brave face Harumi tried to sit up to reassure that she was okay.
Instead, Lloyd laid her back down with a small scolding.

Lloyd said that the kids could have the day off as long as they let Harumi rest. And, to be fair, they did for a bit.

Arin came back after an hour, suggesting a movie for the blonde and white-haired female to watch to help Harumi relax.
Lloyd thanked him for the idea and set up the film for Harumi to watch on Arin's laptop that he brought.

Around lunch, Wyldfyre popped in to see how Harumi was, while she was finally asleep. Lloyd had been watching another film on this time Harumi's laptop, not wanting to use all the battery on Arin's.

Finally, Sora came in around dinner time. Harumi was still asleep and Lloyd hadn't eaten anything, he'd drank but that was it. He had never left Harumi's side, it was Nya grabbing him drinks.
Sora offered to watch over Harumi for a bit, so that Lloyd could go and actually eat something. With some encouraging from the pink-haired girl, Lloyd finally left the room.

Sora sat in Harumi's spot and lifted the cover up to her shoulders, smiling softly. "Now I know what you two are." she said quietly, leaning over with a teasing whisper, "You two are total lovers."

Sora stayed with Harumi for the hour that Lloyd was away, Arin having pulled him away after he and WyldFyre broke the elevator and got stuck..

Sora rose a brow as she saw the digital clock on Lloyd's laptop. "I wonder who's tied him up.." she mumbled. She looked back over towards Harumi, "I don't mind staying. You've treat me like a daughter and daughters look after their caring mothers."
