Author's Note at the End :)

February 26th, 2018:

Seungri had texted me a few days ago about the opening of his new nightclub, Burning Sun, in Gangnam and sent me two VIP entry letters informing me I was on the guestlist and asking me to come and to bring any friend I wanted, preferably a girl. I had no clue how he'd gotten my number, and I had no plans on going. Given what happened last time I set foot in a club, I had no intention of doing so again anytime soon. Instead, I'd sent them to Heeyoung thinking she could have a fun night out with Areum. This was their last week of freedom before the Spring semester started and I felt they'd enjoy a free night out considering they were your typical broke university students. I'd also told her if it bombed to just go to a club they wanted to, and I'd cover their fees as an apology.

Well, they'd had a blast and had stayed till the early morning. However, Seungri seemed upset I'd given the tickets to someone else despite my telling him I didn't like to go to clubs.

Seungri: Disappointed I didn't see you last night, was hoping to get a dance

Seungri: Burning Sun was the place to be last night, but it's okay, lmk when you wanna come and you get free VIP entrance

Y/N: Sorry, it's just not my scene, glad it went well tho 🙂

Seungri: I'm gonna get you to come one way or another 😆 😉

I didn't reply to his last text. I didn't really know what to reply. I'd sent screenshots to Jiyong asking him if and/or how to reply since he knew I had zero interest in his band member. Jiyong just told me to ignore him, and he'd talk to him for me. It was at times like these I was super appreciative of IU and the gang she'd introduced me to. Even with the pain it had brought me recently, the joy I'd felt with Jonghyun far outweighed the pain in perspective.

And, really, even if I had wanted to go, we were so busy I don't know if I could have justified going to a club opening. We were finalising the Japanese album, and, given we'd be busy in Japan for the next couple of months, we'd already started to record for our next comeback we'd scheduled for May. I'd helped to write the vocalist track and Yoongi had even brought me on for the outro the rappers were going to do. And, finally, Magic Shop had been picked up. Given I'd pretty much already recorded it fully, it needed only slight tweaking.

We were all also taking more Japanese lessons to make sure we were on the ball for our upcoming trips over March and April.

Currently, it was the late afternoon, and I was with Seokjin who I'd asked to come and rerecord his part to make it cleaner. We'd already started to learn the choreography yesterday, but the changes I was making weren't anything drastic.

"Go soft, like super soft, like you're singing to a toddler okay," I tell him, pressing on the two-way speaking button, as he listened from the recording booth.

"Ok," he nodded, putting on the headphones.

I lifted my fingers counting down from three to tell him when I'd start the track.

"Ok... let's try that again... just don't push your voice out so much," I say, tilting my head frowning slightly.
