It was evening and we were leaving for Malta in a few hours. I'd gone to my apartment to change and get my suitcase before going to the boys' apartment to film the intro of the show in the parking garage.

"How's Taehyung oppa?" I asked worried.
I hadn't seen him since he got a call from his family that his grandfather had had a stroke and wasn't doing well two days ago. He had left that night, and I hadn't seen or contacted him since. He'd gone pretty much MIA with us other than texting that his grandfather had passed away last night. We all sent our condolences and arranged for flowers to be sent to his funeral. My grandfather, who had become surprisingly close with Taehyung's grandfather, was flying in from Jeju to attend. I was secretly worried about how much longer my grandfather could hold on himself. Both the men had leaned on each other greatly after the passing of their wives and now it was just him, I worried he wouldn't find a reason to keep going. He was aging faster than he had been and it was obvious life was catching up to him. What made it worse was the guilt I felt knowing this and not being able to spend more time with him while he was here. I wanted to, but none of us could get the time to see them more... that was until it was too late.
"I called him half an hour ago," Namjoon says sadly, "he's devastated obviously, but he understands he wasn't doing well for a while and you know, now he's with his grandmother... he's more prepared this time I think".
I smile sadly, that was a little comforting at least. We were all a bit morose as the staff organized themselves for the intro.
"Come on guys, we gotta pep up," Hoseok said smiling, "he wouldn't want us to be sad".
I nodded smiling, he was right, but it didn't make it any easier.
"Ok, we're ready, please line up," the director called for our attention.
We got together at random, and I stood in between Yoongi and Jimin.
"Let's do this, Malta doesn't know what's coming," Seokjin jokes.
"Yeah, well to start we are going to be one member short," Namjoon informs the future viewers sadly.
"Yes, V hyung's not here," Jungkook nodded lips pursed.
"Because of an inevitable issue, he can't join us right now," Namjoon explains without going into it, "so the seven members will leave first... Did you guys study a lot about Malta?" he asks, smoothly moving on to not rest on this point too much.
