March 15th, 2018:

I was at the Porsche dealership with Namjoon's dad to buy my first car, a Porsche Cayenne SUV. I had wanted a guy to come with me given car salesmen loved to take advantage of young clueless girls, and that was exactly what I was. I wanted someone that knew cars and the boys were basically as clueless as me. So, as a result, I contacted Namjoon's dad, who lived the closest, for help. He was so excited to help, saying he'd always looked forward to helping his kids buy their first car and given Namjoon still didn't even have his license and his sister was a student working at a convenience store, she wasn't about to buy a car anytime soon.

"No, she doesn't need that," Namjoon's dad said sternly as the salesman continued to show us different types of accessories, "we want this colour," he pointed to the beige colour I'd decided on before coming, "the leather in this colour," he points to another swatch, "and the heated seats, steering wheel, and tinted windows".

"Yes... all right," the salesman nodded, finally giving in and stopping to try to force more products on us, "let me get you the paperwork". The salesmen leaves us to get things sorted.

"Thank you," I smiled at Namjoon's dad, "I would be lost right now without you".

"No problem," he smiled, "these people are always trying to get more money out of you... It's nice being here, I've always wanted to be the father making sure his kids don't get scammed," he adds proudly, puffing his chest out, "... and I was starting to lose hope it would be anytime soon with Namjoon and his sister..."

"Alright, here's the paperwork, you just need to sign here, here, and here," the salesman said coming back with a small stack of papers and handing it to me.

"Right," Namjoon's dad says, taking the papers from me and reading them over.

I sat a bit awkwardly for a few minutes as he reviewed everything.

"Okay, you can sign," he nods, the papers obviously passing his checks.

I pick up the pen and sign in the right places.

"Fantastic," the salesman smiles, "we'll contact you when we have the car. It should be here in roughly 3 months".

"Great, thank you," I smile, shaking his hand.

"Ummm, also... would you mind, umm... signing, this," he says blushing, handing me a white sheet of paper.

"No, I'm sorry, this is a private engagement for her," Namjoon's dad says before I could answer, or even open my mouth to, putting the salesman's arm down.

"Oh, yes, of course," the salesman nods embarrassedly, "my apologies. I'll be in touch when the car is here".

"Yes, thank you," I bow giving him a smile feeling bad about having turned him down.

"God, everyone wants something from you children nowadays," Namjoon's dad shakes his head disapprovingly as we got to his car, "here, let me take you to lunch".
