I was fully engrossed in my work when my phone rang. I picked it up without checking the ID, which proved to be the biggest mistake of my life because the voice that spoke, or should I say yelled from the other side, would have probably made me deaf had I not moved the phone away from my ears.
"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU SHEKHAWAT!!!!"
This dummy Malhotra. I cursed.
"What?"
"WHAT? Meri khushaal zindagi ki band baja k tum puchti ho what? Bereham aurat. Paap lagega tumhe. Ek masoom, kunware aur abla mard ki haye lagegi tumhe, haye"
(after ruining my happy life you're asking 'what' You merciless woman. You'll feel guilty. You'll fell the woe of an innocent, bachelor and helpless man)
I signed. This dramatic ass.
"If you called me to listen to your mourning then let me tell you, I do not have time for this. I'm a busy woman, I've a freaking empire to run which I work really hard for, unlike some ungreatful hiers. So unless you've something actually useful and important to say, get lost. Mere pass tumhari bakwass sunne ke liye vaqut nehi hai."
(I don't have time for your nonsence)
"Arey kyu nhi sunogi? Sunna padega. Tumhe hi sunna padega. Akhir hone wala pati hu tumhara. Ek pati ke adhikaar se mai tumhe hi sunaunga apni bakwass or tumhe SUNNA PADEGA!"
(Hey, why not? You'll have to listen. After all I'm your would-be-husban. So with the authority of a husband, I'll tell you by nonsence, and you WILL HAVE TO LISTEN)
"Hone wale, abhi huye nhi ho, to koi adhikaar nhi banta. And trust me Malhotra, if you call back again, I swear, hone layak bhi nhi chorungi tumhe."
(Would be husband, you're not yet, so there is no authority.
I swear, I won't even leave you to be)
And with that I slammed my phone shut and palmed my face. Oh gosh! Why am I surrounded with so many annoying people. Why can't I get a minute of peace?
Yesterday, Aahana blew my mind with all her drama, and now this shithead is behaving this way. Both of them are so alike; the only difference is their gender. Otherwise, both are Xerox copies of each other. And my phooti qismat that now I have to endure both of them. (bad luck)
Ahhhh Maa. Help me!!
I looked at the clock and realised it was past lunchtime. The lunch break will be over soon. I looked down at the pile of files spread on my desk. Now I can't seem to focus on them. That's joker distracted me. Bloody clown!
I stood up from my seat and walked towards the glass window. From there, I could get a clear view of the cafeteria. I walked to the glass, and what I saw made my throat dry. Mahir Jaisingh was having coffee with a girl. And not just having coffee; with the way he was laughing and smiling at her, it feels like they're having quite a good time with each other.
