"Eat," she chuckles in a flat tone, her hand wielding a purple book, pushing it towards your lips. "You dared to grasp at 'forbidden knowledge'," she murmurs, "So here it is. Feast away. Indulge in all the forbidden knowledge you desire, intruder," she snickers, a chilling glint in her eye. "Or perhaps you had another motive for trespassing?" she questions once more, skepticism lacing her words regarding your explanation for wandering into her sanctuary - particularly, the concealed chamber nestled within.

As she pushes, she uses her other hand to force your mouth open and shoves the spine between your teeth. She grins wickedly, and shoves it harder.
You bite down trying to stop it from going further in, but her eyes glow and the book is pushed with renewed vigor. Your jaw pops as it starts to dislocate, a burning, stinging sensation spreading through your cheeks.
The feeling is far worse than the dentists forcing your mouth open. It's like your cheeks are splitting apart.
"Enough."
Everything cuts to black.
No sound.
No feeling.
No smell.
Nothing.

You bolt upright on the couch, panting, your skin slightly sticky from sweating on the leather, the unsticking sound letting you know that it was just a dream. You look around, and just see Shiori's little alcove in her library.
Noticing the weight on the couch distorting the cushion, you slowly look down.
Your breath hitches when you see her.
When did she get here?
She shifts and readjusts her position leaning on the couch, sleepily groaning a little.
After a beat, you relax, the tension sloughing off your shoulders, and gently pat her head, stroking her hair lightly.
"What a dream..." you mutter to yourself.
You didn't recognize the room you were in. Aren't dreams only supposed to have bits of things you've seen or experienced?
You shake your head. It doesn't matter, you're safe, Shiori's not trying to... do whatever she was doing, it's all good.
"Mm?" Shiori sits up, rubbing her eyes. "We fell asleep...?"
"... Yeah. Let's not nap like this again, it's not good for our backs, after all," you smile haltingly. You decide to keep any mention of that nightmare to yourself, she'd probably just worry.
Shiori nods, and gets up on the couch, occupying the space you just vacated.
"I'll nap here then..." she whispers, promptly getting comfortable. "G'night..."
Not even thirty seconds later, she's breathing softly, already asleep.
You can't help but sigh to yourself as you get up, picking up the books off the floor and covering her with a fleece blanket. You stand upright and stretch out your back. The stretch helped, but looking down at Shiori, curled up on one end of the couch, holding a purple book to her chest, and smiling softly, got rid of the last little bit.
"I should get something to drink. I wonder if the smell will wake her up too," you smile, much more easily this time. "Hm... Coffee for myself, and green tea for her sounds good."
