My hands curled round the cold, hard knocker. I stopped myself before I slammed it into the door. His parents would be woken if I did that. "Jason..." I whispered through the letter box. "Jason?"
There was no sound from inside the house. I turned round to see the dark, empty street. An empty crisp packet rattled by. The only thing I could hear was my own breathing. It was shallow.
"Jason. Please hurry up." I let the letter box lid go. Ready to turn around and go back home, I lifted the back of my shirt up to cover myself from the rain that'd just started to pour.
A few moments later, I heard footsteps thud towards the door. I spun round. His face peered through the eye hole. Once he'd confirmed it was me, he opened the door.. "Come in."
Cautiously, I stepped inside. His house was huge! There were intricately designed paintings dotted around the room with an array of brightly coloured bean bags slumped in the corner. Each wall was painted a different shade of beige and the ceiling was the darkest of them.
"You never told me you lived in a mansion." I whispered, wrapping my arms around Jason.
He laughed loudly. "You don't need to whisper you know. My parents are out all night."
I breathed a sigh of relief. I have to admit I was terrified of meeting Jason's parents again in case they thought I was clumsy and they didn't want me going out with Jason anymore. "You want to go into town?" He asked, passing me a can of Pepsi.
What would mum and dad say? "Yeah, sure."
Jason put his biker jacket on and pulled out a pair of keys from his pocket. He jangled them in my face. "Do you want to drive or shall I?" He grinned and snapped them together.
"You can..." I mumbled feebly, downing a swig of the luke-warm Pepsi I'd been given. My stomach gurgled reminding me of my nervousness. Not wanting to just drop the can anywhere, I mumbled "Jason, where-"
"Pass it here." He placed it on a bright white coasted next to the precariously coloured lamp.
He pulled the wooden door shut behind us as we headed out to the car. "I'll drive." Jason laughed.
I felt my fists clench. I had no idea if he even had his driver’s licence. The car might not even be his for all I know. My parents have always told me to only get into a car with someone I trust. Do I trust Jason?.... "Yeah, sure." I muttered.
A jet black motor bike was parked right by the side of his house. It had red exhaust pipes on both side and matching striped wind mirrors. The paint was obviously newly done - not a chip on the whole bike. It was shiny and looked new. "Woah." I uttered.
"You like it?" Came the reply.
I nodded limply, awestruck by the vehicle. He lifted me onto the back seat before climbing on himself. "Hold on!"
Not needing to be asked twice, I wrapped my arms tightly around Jason's waist. I could feel his muscles bulging out of his jacket. The warmth of his body made me fell slightly less nauseous. A low grumbling suddenly started. As Jason stepped on a pedal and revved the engine the noise increased to a loud thunder-like noise. He peered back at me as the speed slowly increased.
His torso tensed to provide me with more security. He twisted the handle bars. A sudden burst of speed flung me forwards so my face was pressed against his back. My hair was flowing behind me wildly. My cheeks filled with air and started flailing about due to the sheer speed we were going at. The wind made my eyes fill with tears.
"Having fun?" He yelled over the sound of the bike.
