I can't help but feel a little bad for the way I shouted at Alice. It wasn't her fault.... not really. I would call and apologise but the way she spoke to me was inexcusable so I won't. She was interfering in my personal business, even though she had no right to.

I pulled the door shut behind me as I headed out to the cinema. The only good thing about living in a small town is that everything is close by. The cinema was a mere 5 minute walk from my house. The weather was quite mild – the sun was shining but the temperature wasn’t very high. I scuffed my trainers along the pavement. Nerves began building up in me again; he must think I'm such a looser.

I started fretting; panicking that he’d act weird after last night. It wasn’t exactly my finest hour. Trying to block those thoughts out of my mind, I continued walking. I passed the skate park. Three guys from my school were sat smoking God knows what. "How you feeling today?" One of them yelled. The other two pretended to throw up on the ramp.

I was about to make a sarcastic retort but I didn’t know what to say. I put my head down and carried on walking. Their laughing drummed into my head. Honestly, some people are so pathetic. They started making gagging noises behind me. Their level of immaturity never failed to astound me.

The park was only small so luckily I didn’t have to face the burden of their presence for very long. As I wandered through the field by the side of it, I quickly checked I had my phone. It was rapidly running out of battery but I figured I had enough to last me until I got home.

As I arrived at the cinema, I saw Jason straight away. He stood in the corner with his hands behind his back.

I strode over to him in what I like to think was a confident way - even though I tripped and fell into a large man, spilling tacos all over the floor. Jason smiled, even though the man was shouting in my face. I apologised, going bright red.

When he saw me walking over to him, his eyes lit up. My heart was in my mouth. He looked gorgeous; seriously I almost choked when I saw him up-close. His blondey hair was scraped up into a quiff, his biker jacket was hanging loosely over his broad shoulders, dark jeans clung to his legs moulding perfectly round them; his black boots, scuffed.

I began to feel a bit shabby next to him. ALL the girls were staring and basically flirting with him right in front of me. Just as I was beginning to regret coming, Jason leant in and pulled me into a firm hug. "You're looking beautiful, as usual."

"Not really..." I muttered.

Shut up you gorgeous things and give me a kiss." He pulled me close and kissed my lips softly. I could feel everyone staring but it felt good. He leant back and we walked together, his arm round my shoulder, mine round his waist into the cinema.

I heard one of the girls whisper something to her friend. I couldn’t quite make out the words but I could tell it wasn’t a compliment. It felt nice having people be jealous of me for once.

He pulled out our cinema tickets from his pocket and foisted them upon the unsuspecting attendant. Quickly, he scanned the tickets and pointed in the direction of the escalators.
