"I'm just a bit shook-up... I've never done anything like that before."
Jason shook his head. "Forget about it. Everyone's first time is always the freakiest."
I flinched as my bare back touched the wall. It was covered in a layer of ice which I tried to scrape away with little success. Snowflakes fluttered down and settled on my eyelashes.
I leant back against Jason's arm and rested my head on his shoulders.
"How are you feeling?"
"I'm ok."
Jason brushed his fingers through my hair. A sharp pain ran through me making him tug his hand back. "No you're not. Come here."
There was a small cut on the top of my forehead from when we were running. I'd scraped it against the door of the restaurant. It hurt like hell but I didn't want Jason to make a fuss. "It's nothing, honestly."
"It wasn't a request." He held my head, examining it inquisitively. He licked his finger and ran it slowly over my bleeding cut. His finger was bright red when he pulled it away. Shaking his head, he pulled the sleeve of his jumper over his hand and used it to mop up the trickle of red liquid oozing from my head.
He opened his coat and wrapped it round me like a cocoon. He swayed gently, keeping me entangled in his arms. The warmth of the coat was a well-needed contrast to the icy coldness I'd been feeling.
"You thirsty?" He whispered, grinning.
I nodded, realising I hadn't had anything to drink since I'd left the house hours ago. My mind flashed back to mum, back home in bed, no idea what her precious little girl had just done... that he precious little girl had just committed a crime.
A huge bottle revealed itself from Jason's pocket. My eyes widened. Vodka.
