xtHe swore under his breath.
I felt the burning acid rise in my throat before I threw up again. My head was absolutely throbbing and my heart was pounding out of my chest. The whole streets had gone blurry, I tried wiping my eyes but I was so sick I couldn't move.
I felt Jason's hand rubbing my back, "It's ok, just let it all out."
I started crying, I felt so horrific that I just couldn't stop. My throat was burning more than it had been after drinking the Vodka. I wished more than anything that I hadn't drank any, it was a stupid mistake - I didn't even like it that much.
"Come and sit down."
I shook my head, "I can't move Jason, I still feel ill. You don't have to wait with me, I'll make my own way home."
"Don't be ridiculous, I'm not leaving you here chucking your guts up by the side of the road." He bunched my hair in his hands and held it out of my face.
I leant up, "I think I'm ok now." I was completely mortified about what'd happened, thank God I moved away in time so I wasn't sick all over him. I rubbed my head, trying to soothe the pain but it was no use.
I walked slowly over to the bench we'd just been on and slumped against it. I closed my eyes and lifted my legs up so I was curled into a ball. Jason's warm body made me feel slightly more at ease. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a packet of tissues. "Here, take as many as you need."
"Thanks." I smiled meekly as I pulled out a tissue. I wiped round my mouth and dumped the soiled tissue into the bin next to where we were sat. "Sorry, it hasn't exactly been the more glamorous date."
He laughed, "Hey don't worry. I've had a great night.... until you threw up all over me that is!"
"I didn't throw up on y-!" I protested.
"I'm joking, come here." He pulled me into a hug and stroked my head. "You're roasting, take off your jacket or something."
"It's your jacket, you gave it to me before!" I winced as I tried to pull the jumper off too quickly. Blood suddenly rushed to my head making it throb even harder. "Here you go."
He took the jacket and placed it on the bench next to him. "How are we going to explain this then?"
I groaned at the prospect, "Jason my parents can't find out ok?"
"They don't have to, we'll get you back home and in the morning you can tell them that you think you're coming down with a cold. That way, no one gets in trouble."
