Germany was frozen for a moment, sitting in absolute silence. His brain was moving too quickly for him to stand.Denmark was watching him very quietly, his eyes not leaving the boy as he sat there, just thinking.
Glancing up slowly Denmark could see Norway peeking his head into the room, looking confused. With one sharp glare the Norwegian country was immediately gone.
"So... I'm guessing you have questions-?"
"-Tons of questions.."
Germany rested on the bar's counter for a moment, rubbing his eyes as he leaned into the table.
Denmark patted his shoulder, rubbing it gently but with a firm grip. "Hey, hey take it easy now.." He thought for a moment before saying, "We can start slow with this."
"Do you know when this was made?" Germany snapped from his silent state, pointing at the poster with an uncertain expression.
Denmark eyed him. "How old are you?"
"Almost seventeen."
Denmark winced, "Probably seventeen years ago then... I remember finding them at my pops shop.."
That didn't make Germany feel any better. He sighed into his hands, not seeing Norway sneaking in through the back with a box.
"Does this mean that like... Is my Vater-" Germany shut his eyes tightly, unable to think. "He... he ran away... from the castle?"
"The one in our town's current capital, yes." Denmark nodded, watching him intently.
"And that started the war?" Germany raised an eyebrow, a confused look on his face as he tried to understand.
"No, the war started before then." Denmark noted, "But that intensified it, and is what brought us to where we are today."
Germany blinked, looking mortified.
Denmark, seeing his expression, sighed and glanced at Norway who had made his way behind the counter.
"Get him something, please." He looked at the Norwegian awkwardly, causing the man to raise an eyebrow.
Upon seeing what a mess Germany looked like, he just shrugged and got the German a shorter glass of beer.
Once he saw it, Germany glanced between the two adults before taking the glass without care and gulping it.
He was surprised with how sweet it tasted, and got about half of it down before he paused.
"Are you saying my Vater is royalty then?" Germany looked dead inside as he spoke.
Denmark hummed before responding, "Technically yes, as he married in. Though there were always rumors about other royals not agreeing with him being one- uh- something about blood and crap..."
Germany's face slammed into the table.
"The more questions I ask, the worst it gets." He mumbled into the table causing the Dane to nod.
"I am not surprised." Denmark shrugged, glancing over to Norway who was looking at the two with a confused but intrigued expression.
He was going to ask a question but suddenly Germany's head popped up.
"Do I-" He paused, blinking silently for a moment as he slowly glanced at the Dane. "Do I have siblings then?"
Denmark thought for a moment before nodding, "Yeah I'm pretty sure there's a few of them.." He tried to remember absolutely anything about them but he couldn't really think of anything.
