AFTER THE EVENTS OF THE NEWBORN ARMY FIGHT, Arlina spoke with the Volturi, specifically Aro, about visiting rights. She wanted to be able to visit their castle in Volterra from time to time to see Alec and she also wanted him to be able to visit Forks to see her. It was a two-way thing that the mates had agreed on, especially since Alec didn't want her to be travelling at all.

She was currently sat on the couch beside Bree, the newborn vampire they had taken into their clutches, and beside Emmett, who was playing on his Nintendo. Arlina was looking through a magazine with Bree to find her decorations for her new bedroom.

"Ooh, what about that nightstand?" Bree pointed to a picture of a dark oak wooden nightstand that had diamond-shaped handles.

"That's so pretty, yes!" Arlina exhaled, smiling at her new sister that had golden specks appearing in her bright red eyes and Emmett scoffed loudly, causing the two to look over at him.

"How can a nightstand be pretty? I don't understand women." Emmett shook his head and stood up, his eyes stuck on his Nintendo and Arlina grabbed a small, gray pillow from beside her, chucking it at his back. He quickly turn around, glaring playfully at the two girls who were giggling.

"What the hell, Lina?!" He exclaimed, putting his hands up in mock surrender.

"You're such a pain in the ass, Emmett." Alice spoke sweetly as she skipped into the room with a bouquet of flowers in her hands, Jasper hot on her tail.

"She got that right." Jasper smirked at his brother, who glared around at all them before he huffed and stormed off, but the rest of them knew he wasn't being serious. They all listened as Rosalie began scolding Emmett for being annoying, causing them all to laugh.

Alice quickly placed the flowers in a vase before she leaped onto the couch beside Bree, "So! We have planned to go shopping for your new wardrobe this weekend, and we have to find dresses for Bella's wedding"

"Bella's getting married?" Bree questioned and glanced over at Jasper and Arlina before looking back at the pixie-haired girl, who was smiling wide.

"Yes! Isn't it just so exciting? And she left it all to me, I get to plan a whole wedding!" Alice squealed, causing the rest of the Cullens to chuckle at her enthusiasm. A phone ringing caused the laughing to be cut short and Arlina pulled her phone from her pocket before answering it and placing it to her ear.

"Alec?" She questioned, sitting up with a smile and she could hear his small laugh on the other line, so she assumed he was with Felix or Demetri, or both.

"Hello, love. I'm on my way with Felix and Demetri for the special wedding that you kindly invited us to." Alec spoke and Arlina smiled wide alongside Alice who jumped up excitedly.

"Oh, my gosh! This is great!" She clapped her hands enthusiastically and skipped over to Jasper, wrapping her arm around his torso.

"I'll meet you outside the house." Arlina told him with a smile before she ended the call, standing from the couch with Bree beside her. Ever since the day of the fight when Arlina protected the newborn, she couldn't stay away from her. Bree felt like Arlina was her sister, and decided to always stay close to her.

So the two stood at the back of the house on the porch, leaning on the railing, looking out into the woods, waiting for the three Volturi Guards to show up. And soon enough, they appeared through the trees and Arlina rushed down, jumping into Alec's arms.

"Seems like someone missed you." Demetri smirked, and he looked over at Bree with a small smile, who sent him a scared look at first before her facial expression softened, sending him a sweet smile back.

"Yeah, Arlina, it's only been a few days." Felix chuckled, sticking his hands into his pockets awkwardly. Arlina ignored the two ancient vampires as she set her lips on the witch's, kissing him gently.

The two Cullens led the three into the house and into the guest bedroom where Demetri and Felix would stay — and Alec if he didn't insist to stay in Arlina's bedroom.

Edward stood in the doorway of Arlina's room, watching as Bree, Arlina and Alec sat on the redhead's bed, watching the television. The Cullen girls giggled at a scene in the show before Edward made himself known, causing the three to snap their heads in their direction.

"I'm hoping that you and your friends are going to be civil at my wedding, I don't want anything negative to happen." Edward told Alec and the older vampire nodded curtly, his grip on Arlina's waist tightening slightly.

"Of course, we have no intentions of getting into bad terms with you and your family." Alec smiled and Arlina gave her brother a 'behave' look as she scolded him in her mind for acting so rudely, but she couldn't blame him, she would be worried too.

"Thank you, it's great to have your presences at such a special occasion." Edward nodded with a small smile and he left the doorway, off to find Bella.

"Don't worry about him, he's just concerned I suppose." Arlina told her mate, rubbing her thumb reassuringly on his bicep and his grip lessened, telling her he was okay. Demetri and Felix walked into the room, the smaller Guard smirking over at Bree before the two sat on the ground. Felix nosily began looking through Arlina's huge shelf of sketchbooks, shifting through the pages of drawings but she didn't mind.

The rest of the day and night was spent with Felix looking through every single sketchbook & admiring every drawing, Bree & Demetri making small talk and Arlina & Alec watching the TV show in each other's arms, enjoying each other's presence. It had been a while since the two had held each other but the wait was worth it.

Alec was fond of the warmth radiating off of Arlina and she loved the feeling of being able to touch his hands and just him in general.

That was the day that Arlina decided she loved Alec — what she didn't know was that he had already fallen in love with her a number of times before she fell.
