|| girl's day ||

ALICE AND ESME WERE LOOKING AT DRESSES, the only two who were actually excited about shopping that day. Any other day, Arlina would be over the moon but the whole week Arlina was just sulking over her mate leaving her, of course he had no choice, she just missed him.

He hadn't called, or sent a message, he hadn't given her any sign that he got home safely, even though she knew he wouldn't have any trouble with danger considering he was the most dangerous source she knew.

Bree walked over to Esme, showing her a dress, leaving Rosalie and Arlina alone near the jeans section, "Can I tell you something?" Rosalie asked, pulling a pair of jeans from the rack, looking over them and then putting them back.

"Sure." Arlina nodded, seemingly uninterested in any of the clothes.

"When you first became apart of the family, I didn't... like you much. I was actually pretty jealous of you, I saw how you and Emmett got along so well and I thought that maybe, just maybe, you were his true mate." Rosalie sighed, before she laughed, noticing Arlina's disgusted face.

"Rosalie! He's my brother, and always has been." Arlina shook her head, pushing away the nasty thoughts of her and Emmett being together, it simply grossed her out.

"I know, I suppose I was stupid back then." Rosalie shrugged, and pulled another pair of black jeans from the rack.

"You weren't stupid, you can never be stupid, Rose. I think you were just protective because you're in love with him, that's all." Arlina smiled sweetly at her beautiful sister, watching as the girl shined her perfect, white teeth at her, "And, those would suit you so well, you should try those on."

"Thank you, Lina." Rosalie leaned over, kissing the redhead's cheek before she scurried away to the changing rooms with Alice hot on her tail. Esme noticed Arlina's smile, walking over whilst somehow holding quite a few dresses in her hands.

"Are you feeling any better?" Esme asked, her eyes widening as she spotted a pair of jeans she liked and Arlina nodded, looking at her Cullen crest ring.

"Much better, actually. I'm still rather worried but I'm sure everything's okay." She explained and watched as her mother nodded with a small smile, she remembered that she needed to ask Esme about her favourite colour for a painting, "So, I've been working on a painting for you but I need your—"

"Guys, I just had a vision!" Alice rushed over, whisper-yelling to them with a worried look in her eyes, Bree and Rosalie were following her with the same rushed walk and the same concern in their expressions.

"What did you see, Alice?" Esme questioned, resting her hand on the smaller girl's shoulder with scrunched eyebrows and Bree moved up to stand beside Arlina, mumbling something in the girl's ear.

"Bella's pregnant." Bree told her sister, and Esme heard, snapping her head to Bree with a look of shock.

"Bella's what?!"

"ALICE." Bella's voice sounded out throughout the room through the phone and Arlina felt relieved finding out Bella was okay.

"Bella?" Alice looked at her family around the room before focusing her attention on her hands, "Are you all right?"

"I'm not 100% sure." Bella responded and Arlina rested her head in her hands.

"Why? What's wrong? I just..." Alice looked over at Arlina and Esme, and they both nodded and before Alice could explain, Carlisle walked over, asking for the phone.

"You just what?" Bella rushed out, clearly confused, "Alice, what did you see?"

"Here's Carlisle." Alice passed the cell-phone over to her adoptive-father and she walked to stand beside Jasper, who wrapped his arm around her comfortingly, kissing her temple.

"Bella, what's going on?" Carlisle questioned, even though he already knew what was happening, he just needed it to be confirmed.

"I don't know. I'm a little worried. Can vampires go into shock?" Bella asked, and they all knew she was talking about Edward, who was probably stood still, not knowing what to do or say.

"Has Edward been harmed?" Carlisle raised an eyebrow, and Esme stood from her seat at the table beside Arlina and walked over to her mate, placing her hand on his shoulder, squeezing it lovingly.

"No. I know that it's impossible, but I think that I'm pregnant." Bella told him and everyone in the room went quiet, they knew it was coming but it was still a shock.

"What the hell?" Arlina's eyebrows scrunched and she rested her head onto the table, banging it a couple times, she was honestly so exhausted from everything that had been happening in the past year or two and she couldn't handle any more problems.

"Whoa!" Bella's voice caused Arlina to look up, speeding over to Carlisle.

"Bella, what's wrong?" Arlina moved her lips closer to the speaker of the device, and raised her brows, waiting for an answer.

"Arlina, I swear, something just moved inside me." Bella answered and they heard muffles through the line until Edward's voice came through.

"Is this even possible?" Edward asked Carlisle and the aforementioned vampire looked over at Arlina before he turned around, pacing the room.

"I don't know." Carlisle attempted to stay as calm as possible for Edward's sake so the boy doesn't go manic, and he sat down on the couch, looking at the rest of his family members that surrounded the table, "The sooner Bella's here, the sooner we can find out what it is. I need you to get to the mainland at once."

"Yeah, yeah, I will." Edward responded in a quiet voice, from Arlina's perspective, it sounded as if he was going to cry. The call ended, and Carlisle stood from the couch, Esme close to his side.

They all looked at each other with worried looks before Arlina got up from where she was sat on the table, "I hope she's okay."

"Yeah..." Esme agreed with a soft voice, rubbing her husband's arms to reassure him, and Carlisle smiled down at the woman, kissing the top of her head.

"Don't tell Alec, Arlina, not until we know what's going on." Carlisle nodded at the redhead, who smiled softly, knowing she wasn't going to tell him anyway.

"I haven't spoken to him since he left, so I wasn't planning on it." Arlina looked down at her boots, scratching her wrist. She had messaged Alec quite a few times to ask him if he was okay but she had no reply and she was getting worried. She had thoughts about visiting to check up on him, but Emmett advised her not to, Arlina still had no clue why he gave her that advice but she listened nonetheless.
