Chapter 1

(Vanessa's POV)

~12 Years Later~

I woke up from the soft strokes of his hand in my hair. I smiled and eventually opened my eyes, looking up at my handsome husband. He wrapped his arm around me running his hand up and down my arm softly. He woke me up in the most affectionate ways. “Mm, 12 years today,” I cooed in my sleepy voice.

“Yes ma’m; 12 years, 2 kids, a beautiful wife, and a perfect life to match.” I grinned and looked up at him as he reached down for a kiss. “So since I’m leaving you and the kids soon, I want our day to be special. Then the rest of the week it’s the whole family at Disneyland, it’ll be great I promise.”

“How am I gonna go a whole 3 weeks without you babe? I’ll miss you too much!” I whined. I sat up only to find myself straddled on top of him, kissing him all over. “Mm, if leaving means you’ll do me like this I ‘oughta leave more often.” He gave me that sexy smirk that turned me on.

“Mm, you like that? You like this too?” We shared lustful kisses that only resulted in me getting wet and him growing under me. I reached for his boxers, eager to take them off. “You are about to get the best sex you’ve ever had in your whole life,” I moaned rubbing and feeling all over his body.

“HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!” We both jumped and covered up even though we weren’t nearly naked. Our door flew open as the kids came in with handmade cards and chocolates in those cute heart shaped boxes. We stared at them like deer in headlights. “Ya’ll what we say about busting into rooms like that huh?” Kenneth asked in his stern fatherly voice that made me wanna rip him apart. “Christina?” he called.

“Knock before coming in daddy,” my little girl said swaying back and forth nervously.

“KJ?” Kenneth called to our son.

“Knock ‘fore come in?” KJ repeated cocking his head to the side as if he wasn’t sure what he was saying. I laughed. KJ was almost 3. He was just learning how to form full sentences. He was so adorable though! Everyone said he looked like me. “We made you cards!” Christina said excitedly. I got off of Kenneth finally to kiss my 10 year old on the cheek. “Thank you sweetie, that was real sweet of you! Both of you.”

“I brought chocolate daddy!!! “ KJ sang giving the box to Kenneth.

“To mom and dad,” I began to read. “You are the best parents ever. We love you. Happy anniversary! Love, Christina & Kenneth Jr.”

“Aww,” Kenneth said hugging KJ and kissing Chrissy on the forehead. “I think we made awesome kids, whatchu think?” Kenny asked me with a proud smile.

“I’d say you were right.” I gave a proud nod with a smile to my prides of joy. “Ya’ll ready to go to Grandma’s house today?”

“No, I’m ready to go to Disneyland tomorrow!” Christina yelled.

“Disneylaaaand!” KJ sang.

“You didn’t know? Grandma’s house is on the way to Disneyland so the closer you are, the faster we can get there!” Kenny bellowed trying to pump them up for their trip to Mama Combs.

“If I were ya’ll I’d be getting showered up and dressed.” I suggested.

“Me first,” Christina yelled dashing out the door. KJ stood by staring at me and his dad.

“What’s wrong, feet trapped?” Kenneth asked jokingly. KJ grinned at his dad devilishly before bursting out into laughter himself. Something was wrong with that boy. He ran leaping back to his room. “That’s your son for sure. He do that same evil eye shit you do,” Kenneth muttered seeming creeped out. I giggled. “Hey, it’s these same eyes that made you fall for me remember?”
