Operation 'Firecracker' flagship, Battleship 'La Orion'

"Admiral, we got news over the radio from one of our fighter squadrons in Ragna. Enemy fighters are beginning to appear. As of now, we have destroyed them without incurring any losses. A total of over 30 fighters have been destroyed," said the communications officer.

"Oh, they've managed to bring in their fighters? Launch our own fighter. Configure for interception. Abort any new launches for bombing missions," said Admiral Drieker.

"Yes, admiral," the XO said.

"Their defenses are coming online. Soon, their fighter numbers aboard Ragna will increase considerably. At the moment, our technological superiority leaves them defenseless. But numerical superiority is also an advantage. The question is, to what extent will we engage their fighters given our limited number of AA missiles." Admiral Drieker said this to his tactition chief, Major Grala.

"It seems that after repelling some of their fighters, we should withdraw from Ragna in preparation for our assault later tonight." Major Grala said.

"How many AA missiles are we carrying?" asked Admiral Drieker.

"Fleet-wide, about 2000." said Major Grala.

"Hmm, a limited number. Well, as soon as the last bombing mission returns, we will withdraw from Ragna." said Admiral Drieker.

"As you wish, admiral. Remember, we carry almost 10% of the AA missile stock in the entire Mu Empire." Major Grala said. "We have to conserve those missiles."

"The attack tonight is unlikely to use AA missiles anyway. Gra Valkas doesn't seem to have developed night fighting yet. But do we have enough air-to-ground missiles and bombs?" asked Admiral Drieker.

"The stock in the fleet is still around 60%, enough for two more large battles. I predict that during our journey south, we will use up about 10% more, and our attack tonight will use up about 30%. We still have 30% to spare." Major Grala said.

"Good, at least we can still fight when we return to base," said Admiral Drieker. "I hate that if something unexpected happens, we can't defend ourselves."

"Right, admiral," said Major Grala.

"Admiral, our last bomber squadron has reached Ragna. Our fighters and bombers that have completed their mission are engaging the enemy!" The XO spoke.

"It has already begun, the enemy is recovering." Admiral Drieker spoke. "From now on, every mission must carry AA missiles."

"Yes, Admiral," said the XO.

After that, everyone on the bridge of 'La Orion' immediately went about their duties.

"All fighters report weapon status." Said squadron 71 leader.

One by one, the fighters of Squadron 71 gave a report on their weapons inventory. It seemed that they only had over half of their missile loadout.

"We only have the ability to attack the enemy one more time before our missiles run out. Any suggestions?" The squadron leader inquired.

"Maybe we can utilize the bomber squadron that has finished its task. They are carrying two AA missiles." Lionstar 6 said.

"The enemy aircraft's capabilities are far below even our bombers. I think it's something we can do." Lionstar 3 said.
