I take a long shower. Everything that happened last night still going on in my mind. But i didn't mention it to him. Not wanting to spoil our day. The conversation would have started somewhere else and ended somewhere else.

I didn't want him to think that he did something wrong. All he was trying to do was help. When I actually think of every single moment of us in the car.

Our love overpowers the fear. My focus is hardly on the way I couldn't even tear that packet but more on the way how he kissed me. Claimed me as his. The marks he left.

Looking at them in the mirror is something else now. And it's not the first time he did it.

Drying my hair I leave our room. It's a surprise he didn't come to check on me. I climb down the stairs finding no one in the living area or the kitchen. I can hear the neighing of the horses and even the workers repairing the stable.

Thinking that he might be outside I even check there. Dark clouds cover the sky.

" He didn't come to check. Is he not inside? " The guard asks.

" I might not have seen him," I say awkwardly. He must be on the terrace or in his office.

" I'll ask the watchman. " He says, not waiting for my reply, and walks away.

I go back inside calling him. His phone goes straight to voice mail.  Their uneasiness in me increases. Like a hundred ants are crawling on me and I can't remove them. My gut tightens with anticipation and fear.

Which is silly. I shouldn't be feeling like this.

I peek inside Dad's study. The room where I said yes to marry him. But it looks nothing like I last saw. The leather chair is thrown in the corner. The lamp is broken just like so many other things.

It's like a hurricane came and destroyed everything in this room.

Madhav. No one else is home except him. No one else could have done it.

I walk inside seeing the broken alcohol bottles that the marred red with blood.

It can't be him. It's not his blood.

Did a burglary attempt happen here? We didn't check the entire house when we came. But the drawers aren't open and the blood isn't dried.

No. Please it shouldn't be his blood.
