They can lock you up,
And they can chain you down.
They can beat you up,
And shut you out.
They can hurt you bad,
And make you sad.
They can make you mad,
And change your life.
It will mess with you,
And really hurt
but just you know,
They can't take what is rightfully yours.
Its deep within completely hidden.
Locked away to be safe,
with chains so strong not even you can break.
Its the you that no one can see,
Its the you that you wish to be.
Its the you that isn't real,
but don't hate it.
Its your escape from reality.
In the end its okay to dream,
Just don't get lost because its really not reality.
Its not real but thats okay.
Because it helps get you through everyday.
Don't be ashamed,
Its normal and really cool.
Don't you worry I do it too.

PoetryNot just poems anymore, I guess. More like little things where I have no place for them. Basically the poems/short stories/rambles that appear in my head that I have to write down. Enjoy? Trigger warning, I think. Sorry for changing the title a lot...
