The atmosphere was far from energetic, to say the least. Evelyn was on the verge of a panic attack as everyone else sat silently. Her leg was bouncing up and down at an alarmingly fast rate as she bit at the skin around her nails, not even caring when she drew blood.

Two men arrived at the window that had been fixed and started heckling the mutants.

"Hey, I didn't know the circus was in town. Let's see the wings. Come on, let's see the foot" one of them called, a sick grin on his face. "Hey, sugar, how about we get out of here and I'll show you a good time" the other one smirked and Evelyn got up and walked to the other side of the room, her back to them.

"They're just guys being stupid" Raven said, trying to make Angel feel better. "Guys being stupid I can handle, okay? I've handled that my whole life. But I'd rather they stare at me with my clothes off than the way these ones stare at me" Angel replied bitterly.

Alex stepped away from the pinball machine that Darwin had been playing and walked over to Evelyn, who was barely containing her tears as she stood behind the small bookcase. "Are you okay?" he asked softly and she jumped before looking at him.

"I'm fine" she said quickly, continuing to bite her nails. Alex went to say more but was cut off by a thud outside, followed by more sporadic thudding. "What was that?" Darwin questioned. "I don't know but something doesn't feel right" Hank stood up and opened the curtain.

Lumps of black were littered around the floor and Evelyn slowly stepped forward, her eyes wide as she saw two figured illuminated by the moonlight in the air. "What is that?" Darwin asked, his eyes trained on the same thing.

Moments later, a figure came crashing down, shattering some glass before hitting the floor. Raven screamed and placed a hand over her mouth as Evelyn froze, her eyes wide as she recognised the figure to be Suit Man. Alex grabbed the woman and pulled her backwards as everyone else backed up. But they froze when they saw a tornado on the other side of the building.

"Oh my god" Evelyn breathed, recognising the tornado from the night she met Erik. Everyone decided to run out of the room and into the hallway, Alex, Hank and Sean shielding Raven and Angel as Evelyn and Darwin led the way. The guards at the end of the hallway were helplessly firing at a figure moving towards them.

"Get back! Nobody leave that room! We are under attack!" he screamed in panic. "We can see that!" Evelyn yelled back. "Let us help!" Darwin urged. The guard was suddenly sent flying into the wall, his spine snapping on impact and Evelyn gasped as Raven screamed again.

"Back. Back, back, back!" Evelyn yelled, turning around and pushing everyone back towards the room. Her and Darwin slammed the door shut and locked it. The sound of glass shattering made Evelyn turn around, seeing the red teleporter and the man who created the tornado approaching them from either side.

"Get behind me" Darwin instructed, pushing everyone behind him. Evelyn stayed by her side, ready to use her ability if need be when she heard gunshots ring out from the other side of the door. "You want the mutants? They're right through that door. Just let us normal people go-" they heard a guard say before bones cracking.

Like it was nothing, the door was pushed open and a man with a helmet revealed himself. Evelyn figured that this must be Sebastian Shaw, the man they were looking for.

"Where's the telepath?" Shaw questioned the red teleporter. "Not here" he replied. "Too bad. Well, at least I can take this silly thing off" Shaw smiled, pulling off his helmet and fixing his hair. "Good evening. My name's Sebastian Shaw. And I'm not here to hurt you" he continued.

"And I'm Jesus" Evelyn replied sarcastically. "I'm sorry?" Shaw frowned. "Oh, I thought we were saying things that aren't true, my bad" Evelyn replied snarkily, earning a wide-eyed look from Hank and Raven. "Freeze!" they heard a guard shout, pointing his gun at Shaw. "Azazel" Shaw said simply and the red teleporter disappeared and reappeared behind the guard, slashing his back open.
