Evelyn was sitting in the kitchen, an absent look on her face as she was lost in thought. Which was exactly why she didn't notice Erik walking into the kitchen behind her. "Hey" he said simply, grabbing a bottle of beer out of the fridge.
He didn't get a reply and frowned, standing back up straight as he closed the fridge door. "Evelyn?" he asked but the woman remained silent. "Are you alright?" he asked, placing a hand on her shoulder. She gasped and jumped, flinching away from him and he removed his hand. "Just me" he said and she nodded.
"Sorry. I didn't hear you come in" she sighed, taking a sip of her own beer. "Yeah, clearly" he said sarcastically and she rolled her eyes as he sat down opposite her. "What were you thinking about?" he asked. "I don't know" she replied, leaning back in her chair.
"I had something I wanted to ask you" he said after a moment of silence. "Yeah?" she asked, looking at him. "When we were recruiting mutants, you seemed to look at one of them slightly different than the others" he said and she looked away.
"What are you trying to say, Erik? Am I not allowed to admire a fellow woman's confidence?" Evelyn raised an eyebrow. "I get the feeling you were admiring more than just her confidence. And I can tell the difference between admiration and attraction" Erik scoffed lightly and Evelyn gulped.
"Clearly you don't" she lied. "You can lie all you want, I know the truth" he said confidently. "And what is that truth, Erik?" she asked, a hint of anger in her tone. "You liked Angel. As more than just a friend" he stated.
"Yeah, she was hot. I can find my friends hot, can't I?" she scoffed, gulping down some beer. "Like you find Charles hot?" Erik smirked as her eyes went wide. "I-you-don't change the fucking subject" she stuttered, pointing a finger in his direction.
"I'm not going to judge you if you did find Angel attractive. You can't control it" Erik chuckled as Evelyn went bright red. "Alright, fine. I like women. There, you happy?" she huffed. "So you identify as, what?" Erik asked, genuine curiosity in his voice. "Bisexual" she sighed, defeated.
"There's nothing wrong with that" Erik said quickly. "You don't think there's anything wrong with that. Everyone else does" she spoke. "And for the record, I think Charles is cute" she continued and Erik chuckled.
"To each their own" he clinked his bottle with her and got up, exiting the kitchen.
Evelyn groaned softly and put her head on the table with a small thump. They were gearing up to fight a psychopathic mutant and she had a teenage girl crush on Charles Xavier.

Evelyn and Charles had completely skipped dinner and were sitting in his study room, working on training plans for the kids. Evelyn was giving Charles ideas as he scribbled them down on pieces of paper.
Neither of them realised how late it had gotten until Evelyn leant back in her chair and saw that it was dark outside. "I think we missed dinner" she mumbled and Charles nodded, continuing to write. Evelyn smiled at how dedicated the man.
"I'm gonna grab some dinner for the both of us" Evelyn stood up, her knees popping loudly before she walked out the room. She didn't notice how Charles looked up and watched her leave, a fond smile on his lips before he continued writing.
Evelyn came back into the room with three slices of pizza on a plate that she put in front of Charles. "Thank you" he said but didn't look up. She sighed and took the pen out of his hand, causing him to make a noise of protest. "Eat" she pointed to the pizza as she placed a hand on her hip.
"But-" he started. "Eat" she repeated and he sighed before taking a slice of pizza. "You need to eat too" he said after swallowing his mouthful. "I already had a slice" she shrugged. "You're lying" he narrowed his eyes at her but her face remained blank. "No I'm not. I had a slice on the way back here" she shook her head and Charles frowned.
