Evelyn was the first to wake up the next morning. Her head was on Charles' bare chest as his arm was wrapped around her waist and she smiled contentedly as she remembered what had occurred last night. She caught sight of the clock on the wall and saw that it was only five in the morning.

Charles woke up shortly after and pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead. "Good morning, love" he mumbled and she smiled at his morning voice. "Good morning" she smiled up at him, pressing a kiss to his cheek. They regretfully and slowly got out of bed once it hit six a.m. and Evelyn kissed him gently before walking back to her room to get changed.

"Fun night?" a voice asked as she turned the corner and she barely stopped herself from screaming, clamping a hand over her mouth. "Fucking hell, Erik!" she seethed quietly, punching him on the arm.

"Would you stop doing that?!" he requested harshly, rubbing his arm. "Don't scare me then" she said simply, walking past him.

"You didn't answer my question" he called after her. "What question?" she asked. "Did you have a fun night?" he asked, jerking his head towards the direction of Charles' room. "Yes, I did. Are you jealous?" she retorted and spun on her heel, holding up a middle finger as she walked away.

It took her twenty minutes to get ready, most of that time was spent trying to push a comb through her hair without wanting to throw herself out of a window. Finally, she managed to tie her hair up and she walked out to the hallway, seeing Charles leaning against the stair railing.

"Hey" she smiled, and he turned his head to look at her.

A smile immediately dawned in his face when he saw who it was. "Hey" he replied teasingly and she leaned on the railing next to him. "You look beautiful" Charles said and Evelyn grinned. "Not so bad yourself" she nudged his shoulder softly.

"Oh, by the way. Erik totally knows I spent the night in your room" Evelyn said and Charles looked at her with wide eyes. "Seriously?" he asked as he slowly turned a shade of red. "Uh yeah" she nodded and before Charles could say anything else, the other mutants started exiting their rooms and gathering in front of the two adults.

Once everyone was there, except Hank, the group made their way downstairs in search of the missing member. They arrived at the lab and Charles ripped a not off the door after reading it, confusion written on his features. When he opened the doors, everyone's eyes widened in shock.

Tables were overturned, glass was broken and paper was scattered everywhere. And Hank was nowhere to be seen.

"What the hell happened here?" Erik questioned as they wandered into the room, trying to avoid the glass. Charles and Evelyn walked straight towards the box at the end of the room. The brunet opened the box and revealed yellow suits, all specifically named for each person.

"Well, those are new" Evelyn commented, her eyebrows raised. "Hank has been busy" Erik added as he and Evelyn shared a look. "Do we really have to wear these?" Alex complained.

"As none of us mutated to endure extreme g-force or being riddled by bullets, I suggest we suit up" Charles replied sarcastically, each of them grabbing their own suits.

Evelyn was struggling to reach the zipper and was getting rather frustrated at the fact she couldn't even get dressed competently. "Would you like help?" a voice asked from behind her and she looked in the mirror.

Charles was leaning against the doorframe casually, already in his suit and she nodded, her shoulders slumping. He walked up behind her and his fingers brushed against her skin as he pulled the zip up. "Do you regret it?" Charles asked softly and she turned around.

"Last night?" she frowned. "Yeah" he breathed. "How could I ever regret being with someone like you?" she asked, a soft smile on her lips. "I don't know what to do. About us" Charles admitted. "How about we figure it out when we get back" she suggested and he smiled.

"I like that plan" he nodded, pressing a soft kiss to her lips.

They arrived at the hangar like Hank had instructed, all of their suits fitting them perfectly, which slightly concerned Evelyn as to how he knew her size but she shrugged it off anyway. Neither Charles nor Evelyn cared if anyone knew they liked each other now, they were both gripping the other's hand.

"Where's Hank?" Raven asked worriedly, her blue skin naturally contrasting the yellow. "I'm here" his voice rang out and Evelyn frowned. Walking towards them was a large silhouette but it looked like there was fur growing off of their body.

"Hank?" Charles questioned, his grip on Evelyn's hand tightening slightly. Hank stopped in front of them, looking down to avoid their stared. "It didn't attack the cells. It enhanced them. It didn't work" Hank explained as he glanced at Raven.

"Yes it did, Hank. Don't you see? This is wh you were meant to be. This is you. No more hiding" Raven stated instantly, smiling at him. "Never looked better, man" Erik spoke and Evelyn closed her eyes. She knew he meant that genuinely but she also knew Hank would take it poorly.

Hank's hand shot out, wrapping around Erik's throat. Erik grabbed his hand, trying his best to remove it from his neck but he failed. "Don't mock me!" Hank growled angrily as Erik choked. "Hank, put him down immediately, please?" Charles called out in alarm. "Hank!" Charles called, slightly more desperate.

The scientist dropped Erik and Evelyn placed a hand on the man's shoulder, making sure he was alright. "I wasn't" Erik looked up, holding his neck. "Even I gotta admit, you look pretty badass. I think I got a new name for you" Alex spoke up, an impressed smile on his face. "Beast" he announce and Hank growled but didn't protest.

"Are you sure you can fly this thing?" Evelyn asked, keen to change the subject. "Yeah, I kinda wanna know that too" Sean agreed. "Of course I can. I designed it" Hank confirmed, an insulted look on his face.

And with that, they went to either prevent World War Three, or start a different one.
