Miracles in December

First Chapter

Kai's POV:

It was the second day of school and I was glad that I would be in school then at home. Most kids hate school but I loved it. Why would I hate it when it brought me joy.

My friends were there to cheer me up about anything. Specially when I would get hit by my father.

You see, my parents hate me but love my older brother Taemin. In their eyes, they only have one child. I'm just a maid to them. Someone that they can hurt and toss around when they don't need it. I'm not faced by it. I have gotten used to it but it does hurt when they get my money from when I work at the Chocolate factory close by, packing boxes with my hard work.

I sigh as I turn of my alarm so that I don't wake up my parents. The alarm clock says 5:30 so I hurry up to take a shower.

The cold water hits me, making me more a wake. In my head I count the things I need to before heading to school. Making my parents and brother breakfast. Cleaning the mess they made last night and making them their lunches.

I shut the water off and go to my room in just my towel. I put on my uniform and comb my hair. I gather my backpack and go to the living room. Then I turn the lights on from the kitchen and take it out the ingredients that I need to make breakfast. Today I decided to make eggs and bacon. Expect for my mother who just eats oatmeal and orange juice.

When the food is ready I call to my brother so that he could get ready. "Taemin wake up! You have ten minutes before you have to go to school!" I shake him and he nods.

Then I wake my parents up who are mad that I woke them up a little late. Well it wasn't my fault. I put the alarm the same time as I always do but today I didn't have time to do everything in time.

When my parents are eating I leave to school not before getting chores to buy food and pick up a package that my mom had bought from her women catalogue.

"Sup, Man!" Chanyeol greets me with a fist bump. His hair was dyed to silver and he had a new backpack.

Sehun and Kris were in a deep conversation while Tao was looking at a magazine about fashion. He was the most fashionista out of the group. Almost all of his clothes were Gucci and Louis Vitton. Today he had his uniform but his shoes were Jordan. He would usually were whites shoes cause that's what we are required to wear but not it's a requirement.

"Nothing. I came here in hurry just to get out of the house." I say, a hand going through my hair.

"Whenever you want to go my house, just call and you'll gladly be welcome." He pads my back as I nod.

We have three minutes before the bell rings. Chanyeol and I say goodbye to Tao and Luhan cause Chanyeol,Kris, and I have the same class.

Chen greets us there and we all sit on the back of the room. Then minutes later a guy whom I have seen through the years but never spoken, walks in with a binder in his arm, speaking deeply to an annoying guy name Baekhyun.

Baekhyun is the most annoying person that I had ever seen. I had always had him for P.E but this time I got him for English. He was the class pet and sometimes would get in arguments with Chanyeol. Their pretty entertaining if I'm honest.

"He talks to much," Chen whines.

"Just like you," I tease him.

Tao and Chanyeol snort while I laugh. Chen's face is priceless. He hits me, making me yell in pain. It didn't hurt that much but I exaggerated the pain because a few students turn around even Mr. Annoying himself.
