Chapter Thirty Seven

May 7, Saturday (month six)

(Miracles in December)

Birds were chirping and the shade from the tall tree that was right in front of them, was covering the radiant sun from harming their bodies.

Kyungsoo had suggested that they all go to the park with him. It was a Saturday afternoon that the whole gang was enjoying the day playing soccer and chatting until their throats became hoarse from all the talking.

Kyungsoo, the three girls, Min-Ji, Cassandra, and Reene, Baekhyun, and Tao where sitting on top of two large blankets fused together so that they can all sit together.

A bean bag was supporting Kyungsoo's head. His legs were on top of Min-Jin's thighs.

The rest of the boys were a few yards back, playing soccer. Chanyeol and Kai were in different teams. Xiumin, Luhan, and Kris were in Kai's team while Sehun, Chen, and Vernon were in Chanyeol's.

The score was four to three with Kai's team winning. He had an advantage though. Kris and Luhan were both good at sports so that give them more of a better chance at winning.

Kai loved the feeling of feeling exhausted from all his muscles moving. He missed the feeling of being free. Once he moved in with Kyungsoo, his teenage days were over. All he had now was stress.

His mind was occupied with the future. Making money for when the twins were born, having good grades, and having time for his boyfriend was all he did these days. There hasn't been one day that is only for him. The only time he does is when he's taking a shower.

In school, he is either finishing his homework or spending time with his friends. As much as he loves spending time with his friends, especially spending time with Chanyeol, he missed when he danced.

He would dance until his muscles were sore. That was the only thing that his father couldn't take away from him. And that was why, Kyungsoo's father was getting into his nerves. He get that he wanted the best for his son and that they had responsibilities to take care off but he didn't have to take everything away from him.

The only time he is dancing is with Lay. It's only for their grade and even though he likes dancing with Lay, they both have different style of dancing. Lay was more sharp in the choreography and was more concern on how the timing was that he would forget to be loose and feel the beat of the music.

In the other hand, Kai loved to just dance to the beat. He didn't care if he missed a beat or a move because the public wouldn't notice. It was how the person acted that the public could tell if you messed up or not. Like for example, if you knew that you did missed a step and it showed on your face because you make a disappointing face, then the public can tell. But if you act like it doesn't bother you, then they won't know.

That's what he thought since he dance by himself most of time. Dancing with another person was another thing. Dancing by yourself is much more easier.

Kai was out of breath by the time he caught the ball that had run all the way to where his soon to be husband was.

Kai grabbed the ball, kissed his lover on the forehead, and speed back to the field.

He kicked the ball to Luhan who tried to pass over Sehun but the ladder was quicker so the ball was on Chanyeol's team now.

Shaking the sweat off his forehead with his hands, he runs into Chen so that he could block him and Kris could get the ball from Sehun.

Kris and Sehun battle for the ball for a while until Sehun does a wrong move and the both of them fall back to the the ground. This gives an opportunity for Kai to grab the ball. He passes it to to Xiumin and Xiumin kicks the ball into the goal.
