Chapter Fifty Four

(Miracles in December)

Baekhyung's baby shower had gone smoothly. His presents were all mounted on top of each other like a stack of cups. He was surrounded by all his friends that he had forgotten that it was already close to eleven in the night. Soon all of his friends left and it was just him, Chanyeol, Kai, and D.O. sitting on the floor, reminiscing all that had happened this past year. They were all thankful for meeting each other, getting their own blessings, and what their future awaits for them.

A another month passes by and it was time for Baekhyun's baby to arrive. Unlike Kyungsoo, Baekhyun's delivery was a little more complicated. His water broke before he even had time to prepared everything before the arrival. It took almost a half day to deliver his healthy baby boy. They named him Park Seuncheol. He had big ears just like his father and a cute button nose just like his daddy. Seungcheol was only quiet when his father carried him.

Since it was no longer safe to stay in there crappy apartment now that their son was born, Chanyeol and Baekhyung move into Tao's guest house despite Baekhyun's mother disapproval. The guesthouse was even bigger than their old crappy apartment. Baekhyun helped Tao's mother by helping her arrange papers for his father while Chanyeol worked as their butler. And since they were Tao's friends, they got a much better salary than the rest of the other employees.

Baekhyun and Kyungsoo are both finishing up their last year of high school. Kyungsoo takes care of his kids along with Seuncheol while the rest go to school and work. His kids can now crawl so they little explorers exploring their surroundings and following where ever their daddy goes.

Their friends would visit them whenever they could and sometimes babysit for the four parents. The three kids were the center of attention for the 15 friends. Hangouts were made in parks and parties revolved around them as well. But it was rarely that they did hang out. The four parents were more focused on their kids while their other friends were concerned with finals and their senior dance.

While the teenager lives were beginning to blossom, for the four parents, their lives were settled down to parenting and marriage. Their kids became before theirs and there was nothing that they would ever change.

Baptism was the most essential part of a Catholic person but since the church has not come around to gay people or gay people having kids, getting their kids to be baptized was not an option. Although they did throw a party to celebrate their kids actually having godparents without evolving any kind of religion.

There was more to being a godparent than just the tittle you are given when you baptize a baby. Being a godparent was an honor, a commitment to oneself and to the family whom the person was being agreed to baptized. A godparent took the role of another parent if there is something bad to happen to the birth parents. They are there to guide their kids, to give them love and be there for them when they are most needed.

And that was one of the biggest commitment for the six godparents who were chosen for the three toddlers. Xiumin and Tao were chosen for Seuncheol while Sehun and Min-ji were for SeungHee, and Kris and Vernon where for Minho.

The party was at Tao's house and all of their friends and family were starting to arrive. Kyungsoo and Kai arrived really early so that they can get everything ready. The theme of the party was white so everyone invited to the party are supposed to wear white. The three infants are dressed in red, SeungHee in a red dress with a matching bow, and the two boys, Minho and Seuncheol, are in red tuxedos with their hair styled up to the side with gel.

The party is outside so every tree is decorated with colorful twinkling lights, Moroccan globe lights are hung on, crisscross, on top of the tables that are covered with gold table cloths. Every centerpiece is different porcelain angels in different poses with the names of the three infants written at the bottom of the angel.
