Chapter Fifty One:

(Miracles in December)

After the twins were born, nothing was ever the same for the twelve friends. As the month of October approach its festive holiday, Halloween, so was the patience for everybody else.

Kyungsoo and Kai had been on edge since the twins were born. Their parental differences made them disagree which led to anger and then frustration. Kyungsoo believed that Minho needed to be looked out more since he had his lip and palate split open. It scared Kyungsoo to not have his son by his side, he couldn't even let others grab him. To Kai this made him frustrated because his husband didn't spend as much time with his daughter as he should be.

All of this led them to speak less and respectively take care of one of their twins. Kai hoped that now that Minho had his surgery, he would be less protective of his son and spend more time with his daughter, SeungHee.

In the other hand, Baekhyun felt lonely and depressed. Chanyeol was no longer in school- he was going to a school for teen parents and trouble makers. With Chanyeol having to take two jobs to support the both of them, he had no one to talk to when he got home.

The table at lunch was no longer the same. With three people out, it seemed that it was no longer going to work out. The new season basketball made Kris and Luhan skip lunch and hang out by the basket ball courts with their teammates. Sehun and Chen often hang out with their girlfriends outside of school for lunch, often going to their favorite place.

Min-ji was focusing more on her studies since it was her last year of high school, plus she was in two clubs and they met more than three times a week.

The only ones that hang out with him was Lay and Xiumin and Tao and even often they didn't hang out with him since both Lay and Xiumin were in top ten. That left him with Tao and despite loving the fashionista boy, it wasn't the same.

The group hadn't been together at a table since before Kyungsoo gave birth. This made Baekhyun really sad. It made him feel like the only reason they were all together was because of Kyungsoo and Kai. Now that they were gone, they had no reason to all hang out together.

Baekhyun hates to admit that he's jealous of his best friend. All of his pregnancy was spent with love and care. They all took care of him and spoiled him. Unlike Kyungsoo, Baekhyun pregnancy has been lonely.

The only ones to spoil him and care for him is Chanyeol and Tao. Not even his mother cares for his grandchild.

Baekhyun woke up extra early today. With Chanyeol at work, and being a Saturday a morning, he wanted to take advantage of the time and go buy Lay's birthday which was being held at his house. The gang will be there and it would be the first time in three months that all of them were in the same room.

Grabbing his jacket from the closet and putting it on, Baekhyun grabs the house keys and locks the door of his apartment.

As he steps out of the apartment side walk he can't help but feel in the pit of his stomach a feeling that he always gets when he walks to the bus: fear.

The apartments that he currently lives in do not have a good reputation. In the past there has been shootings and despite being clean of any shootings now that the government step in, he still has fear that he cannot shake off.

The pepper spray that he holds in his hand is not a good source of safety for him. It is not only because he's gay but because he's a pregnant male. It is rare and uncommon to see one of him around a neighborhood like this one.

All of his neighbors stare and sneer when he approaches. He really doesn't mind the stares, he only hopes that the sneers don't turn to hate so that they don't do anything bad to his fetus.
