Chapter 19: Pretension

"I can't believe that son of a bitch has the nerve to touch you! Only I can touch my woman!" Vanitas beat up a dummy like Felix. You told him on the phone of what happen during the Diamond Dance. He was more furious and that is how he end up working his ass if one day upon his next encounter with that Peacock he'll pluck his feathers.

Y/n: 'But Vanitas, don't get yourself worked up. I'm fine, you know how much ass kicking I can handle many men and women.'

"Well. It. Makes. ME. Feel. Better!" Every punch line he destroyed the dumb, dumb. "Just wait until I pluck out those feathers, Darling, and I'll cook him for roasted peacock for dinner! ON THE MENU!!!"

"Oh, brother." You sighed on the phone. "At any case, I'm coming for you."

"See you at any day, Ma cherie~!" He hung up and kick another dumb-dumb name Felix.

{~Gabriel's lair~}

Gabriel lies on a special machine which uses the Kwamis' energy to try to heal his Cataclysm wound. Nathalie increases the machine's power when it suddenly gives out. She begins to increase power and as she's doing it the cataclysm burns begin to fade away. But the machine begins to malfunction therefore returning the marks on Gabriel's chest. Gabriel screams in pain

"Ugh... did no one ever tell you that stealing others' energy against their will isn't nice?" Roaar points out.

"I told you. No magic can heal this wound." Kaalki reminds.

"A Cat Noir Cataclysm can't be healed!" Barkk stressed.

"Who said anything about healing? All I need is time. More time to seize Sapphire and Dragon-Phoenix's Miraculous. Then I could wish for anything. I could fix everything. Save my wife! You too, Nathalie. And save myself..." Gabriel stubbornly states.

"You're forgetting my part of the deal, Gabriel-san. As always, you're losing yourself in sentimental trifles. Our vision of the future is much bigger than that. We are connected, just like our children. They were made for each other and I will not tolerate another glitch in our plan. Whether it be Vanitas and Adrien's cousin, that boy, or this (Y/n) Dupain-Cheng who keeps looking around your son, my daughter's behavior is exemplary and I expect the same from your descendant. " Tomoe points her shinai at Gabriel's stomach.

"I promise you I'm going to regain control over Vanitas and Adrien and seize all the Miraculous. Sapphire's, Dragon-Phoenix's, Ladybug's, Cat Noir's and the Peacock. As it turns out, Félix had the bright idea of leaving this behind during has last visit." Gabriel hands Tomoe the special high-tech lens Félix dropped during his investigation of the manor in "Risk".

{~With Vanitas & (Y/n)~}

Adrien and Kagami leave the school after fencing class. You and Marinette drove up to them on your scooters seeing Vanitas.

"You know what, Adrien? No more moustaches and four-minutes-and-thirty-seven-seconds dates! That's over! I've been doing some thinking and we shouldn't have to hide!"

"Hey Kagami! What's up!" You greeted.

"Hello, (Y/n) and Marinette. I'm fine, thank you." Kagami smiled.

"I'm sorry, Marinette, it's my fault. I just couldn't talk to my father." Adrien frowns.

"No, don't apologize! It makes sense that you didn't make it work because that's you!"

Adrien becomes upset and Vanitas smack her behind the head. You sighed. "It's not anybody's fault. He let you guys have freedom and that's pretty much cool."
