Let's skip the messy bits.

"Aw," You melted as the doctor handed over your little bundle, "I wish Cory and Val were here."

"Hey." Natasha whined, sitting up next to you in the bed, and Bucky lingered by the door when they told him the birth part was over.

Thankfully, T'Challa was already about to land in Wakanda, and you all got to the ground safely before their doctors brought you in.

"You know what I mean," You gave her a smile, leaning over to kiss her cheek, "Love you though."

"Yeah, yeah." She rolled her eyes with a grin, eyes never leaving the little one.

"That's it?" You huffed, handing the baby over to her, "Fine, then. I went through all that work, but no – you keep it, I don't want it anymore."

"Y/n, that's not funny." She whispered, making cute faces at the baby whose eyes were barely opened, and you went to say something else, but then he yawned and you kind of just melted.

"Can I come in?" Bucky asked carefully after knocking softly on the opened door.

"He looks nothing like you." You told him stubbornly, knowing the eyes and nose were similar, but the rest was all your gorgeous ass, so that was something.

He strolled in shyly, his hands shoved into his jacket pockets, and crept up to your side, still too afraid to get too close to Natasha, especially when she's holding your guys' kid.

"So, what's his official name?" He whispered, crouching down a little to see the baby.

"James Buchanan Barnes-Romanoff." You deadpanned and Natasha groaned quietly next to you.

"Come on, I apologized like a thousand times." He sighed when you narrowed your eyes up at him.

"I was in the middle of giving birth!" You whisper shouted, facing away from your wife and child, making the soldier grimace apologetically.

"Super soldier sperm," He shrugged with a small chuckle, "Only took one try, unlike the other guy."

"Bragging?" You raised your eyebrows, "You're actually bragging right now? Seriously?"

"His name is Cory Alexei-Luke Romanoff," Natasha spoke up, ignoring your guys' argument, and booping the baby lightly on the nose before she smiled softly, adding, "And he's perfect."

"You two should really get some rest." The doctor came in, looking from you to the baby, and Natasha finally peeled her eyes from the little one to register what was happening.

You pouted over at Natasha and she looked between you and the doctor as Bucky stood up straight.

"Can I stay in the room?" She asked the doctor who pursed their lips.

"The wife?"

"Yes." You and Natasha said at once, sharing a look.

"Okay, we will fix something up for you," They agreed with a nod, eyeing Bucky warily, "But he must leave."

"Ha, suck on that, boo bear!" You stuck your tongue out at him and he rolled his eyes before getting up to follow them out.

"Feathers."

"Fine," You sighed and then called out to the soldier, "I'm not completely pissed at you, just by the way."

He had a ghost of a smile as he glanced over his shoulder, but before he could say something, you continued.

"Still hate your guts though." You grumbled pitifully and he nodded, not believing it for a second as he left the room.

"I can't believe this is real." Natasha whispered in awe, getting up to place the now snoozing baby into the nearby crib.
