"B6."

"Hit and sunk," You groaned, raising your fists as he giggled triumphantly, taking little bows from his chair to nobody, "And...that's game."

"Best two out of three?" He cocked an eyebrow, turning his head to the side a bit.

"Y/n, we need to pick a school for him." Natasha called from the hallway, coming into the kitchen where the two of you had set up the game on the table.

"Can I help?" He asked, sounding hopeful, and you wondered where this need to help people so much was coming from.

Oh, right.

That's sort of you.

"Sorry, Covey, this is kind of an adult thing." She smiled sweetly, ruffling his hair as he huffed with a tiny pout.

"'Covey'?" You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion at the new nickname, but before Natasha could answer, Cory was offering one as he started packing the game up.

"Well, my name is Cory."

"Yeah, I think I heard that somewhere." You smirked and he rolled his eyes with a smile.

"And sometimes she calls me lovey," He continued, closing the game and neatly putting it into the box before taking yours to do the same, "So, she combined it."

"Oh, but when I used the word 'bink' I was called 'an immature asshole', real smooth, Nat." You grumbled and Cory's hands flew over his mouth as he covered his gasp, but his eye crinkles revealed his hidden smile.

"Y/n, not in front of him!" Natasha scolded, resisting the urge to smack you over the back of the head.

"What?" You looked over at her, confused, "I like a name for when I so often take a bite out of my wife's trun-"

She slapped her hand over your mouth instead this time, but then Cory let his hands fall, and he was frowning with a slight head tilt.

"What did she bite?"

"Turnovers, I had made turnovers a while back," Natasha quickly thought of and you glanced over at her with a look of impressiveness before licking her hand that she immediately pulled away with a cringe, "Ew, come on."

"Anyways," You turned back to the smiling boy whose eyes practically disappeared with the casual grin, "Since we have to find you a...high school?" You looked to Natasha curiously and she nodded, so you continued, "You have to do something that adults do too because I'll be way too jealous if you get to like color or whatever and I have to work."

"Yes," He nodded firmly, ready for the task, "Should I walk Ollie? Or! Should I maybe go get us snacks at the corner store? I don't have any money though..."

"High school?" You asked Natasha again, your voice higher, "Maybe middle school?"

"By the time he joins in the fall, Bruce said he'll be fourteen."

"He let me wear his glasses and he was so nervous." He chuckled at the memory.

"Could you sweep the tub?" You asked Cory and he thought about it for a second.

"Um, is that right?" He glanced up at Natasha and she shook her head, so he mirrored it, looking back to you, "No, so pick something else."

"Feed the dog?" You thought of randomly, knowing it was about that time.

"Yes!" He cheered, getting off the chair and quickly taking the game to run it back to its spot before returning, "He gets so happy when he's about to eat, it's so cute, thank you."

"Pride," You put a hand to your chest as Cory went down the hall to where the dog food was kept and Ollie followed him like always, "I feel nothing but pride."

Natasha chuckled, shaking her head, and then she came to stand behind you, wrapping her arms around your chest and resting her chin on your shoulder.

"He's adorable." She agreed, kissing your neck softly, and you hummed.

"Co, go easy on the food, I don't wanna be out all night with him again." You called, having just thought to remind him.

"But he's eating so fast!" He yelled back, obviously overwhelmed with how much Ollie was currently putting away.

"If he whines at three in the morning, I'm dragging you out of bed by the ankles to come with me!" You threatened lightly and Natasha smirked against your cheek before kissing it.

"I do like to sleep," You heard him mumble to himself and Natasha laughed quietly before he yelled back, "Okay, mom! I won't give him too much!"

"And then brush your teeth!" You demanded, trying not to laugh, but then you heard him laughing and that made you break.

He ran in after feeding Ollie and stood in the doorway with perfect posture, throwing up a salute.

"Will do, your highness!" He saluted you, trying to keep a serious face, but then ran up the stairs giggling.

"Alright, alright," You rolled your eyes, leaning back into her hold, "We'll keep him."

"Bet your ass." She muttered, kissing the top of your head before the two of you made your way to the couch.

She had a bunch of options out on the coffee table of all the high schools he could attend in the city. Living in Brooklyn and working in Manhattan as an avenger really gave her liberties when it came to this sort of thing, so no school was off limits.

"Oh, he's gotta go with Peter, no question." You waved the rest off, finding this to be the easiest decision ever.

"He doesn't know Peter that well." She pointed out and you scoffed.

"But Peter is Peter and Cory...is Cory."

"Great argument." She smirked sarcastically.

"They're like two little...two little..." You tried to think of the word as Ollie came in to hop up on the couch next to you, but then quickly changed his mind to go find Cory again, "They're the human embodiments of golden retriever puppies."

"So, Midtown?"

"Yeah, keep it in the avenger family."

"And by that you mean..."

"Oh, cool!" Cory slid down the railing and you cringed because Natasha didn't know until this exact moment that you had taught him that, but then it only got worse when he stood in front of you both excitedly, bouncing on his feet as he exclaimed, "Watch this!"

And you were forced to watch as your own son's eyes glowed yellow before he put a hand under the coffee table, lifting it up carefully with ease.

"I just did it to my bed when my water bottle rolled under!" He beamed, running back up the steps with his toothbrush clutched in his hand.

"So...Midtown?" You mimicked her question from before and she was gaping at you.

"Did you know about that?"

"I thought he might have my powers." You admitted, but then she shot you a look.

"Did you know?" She repeated a little more impatiently.

"No, no, that would be new."

"What're we going to do?" She groaned after covering her face in her hands.

"Return him?" You suggested with a wince and she pursed her lips, glancing over at you, "What? I don't know!"

"Damn super soldier serum." She muttered and you nodded, trying to be just as frustrated as her.

"Dammit Bucky Barnes."
